  1. This is kind of a desperation thing, but I've found myself stuck in beautiful Troy, NY with nothing to do today and realized that I might not have a chance to see any live DCI shows this summer. So I figure that a day in Boston might be fun, and I might as well drop in on BAC's rehearsal.

But I can't find where the crusaders are at to save my life.

Does anyone know where BAC is housed during spring training? I'm also not sure what their policy is with people watching them rehearse.

  2. The electric telegraph was patented in 1837, ten years before Edison was born.

Woops! Sorry if I was misleading, that was not my intention. I mean that Edison made innovations in the field of telegraphy such as the electric vote recorder (his first patent!)

  3. If you're in the band I'm thinking of, quite enjoyed that show. Actually the first thing that came to mind when I saw that Spirit was using it.

Thanks! If you're thinking of Westlake then that's us. Pretty sure we were the only ones who played it.
  4. Nice music, really like Grantham's music, will be nice to hear "Southern Harmony" on the field.

Agreed. My band put southern harmony on the field last marching season and I love the way the more joyous movements sound. I hope they use the first movement (although I don't know how that would work without woodwinds) because that one can just be so warm and uniquely southern.
  5. Just remember that Edison did make a lot of important innovations himself (You can't get that many patents just by stealing them) like the commercially viable light bulb, telegraph, and photograph. And Tesla wasn't morally perfect, either. He believed in eugenics.
