[Hello + Questions]

Hello, my name is Hunter Franklin and i am from Sacramento,California. I'm going to be a sophomore in high school, i have played trumpet for 6 years and have marched for 1.

I am in a dilemma about whether to do SCVC or Mandarins I want to eventually try out for Regular Vanguard so on that hand i should do Vanguard Cadets but our band directer is a big supporter of mandarins and i have friends trying out for mandarins next year.

I'm leaning toward SCVC but i don't know how hard it is to get in(i'm very confident on my ability to play trumpet but not so much on marching.)
