Now now. Β We all won tonight. Β These are the best kids In the world and why I go to shows year after year.Β
Terri - always love your comments and show feedback. Well said - absolutely agree.
I'm already dreaming of how great 2020 is going to be based on the level of this year's performances π Thank you to all the performers for a wonderful season of drum corps π- 1

It's raining in Muncie.Β π«
Noooooo!!! Flashbacks of last year in Michigan City... Ended up not being able to do a full OC retreat because of bus driver limitations after the hours-long rain delay.
Let's hope whatever this is passes quickly and moves out of town.
We miss you here in OC souvie land π

Cavies..... I was tearing up at the end. Everything about that show was perfectly designed. That was easily THE best hornline that I have EVER heard from this corps. I am not even sure where to start.... I was up on my feet during a freaking ballad! like, WHAT THE HECK! I need to see it again

It's been a crazy week and I've had to put my love for drum corps on a brief pause.... BUT... I had to catch up on dcp just see your reaction to the show (still wish there was video). I'm so glad you loved it and I agree with Terri -Β I also think I may have to add the Katy show to our families list next year π Go Cavies
Can't wait to see them tomorrow on Flo π

Heard this was a baseball field and there was no way to line the field... can anyone confirm?
Maybe this field was a backup plan, I'm hoping the original field fell through? Otherwise how did this happen. ....
So disappointing to the fans and the corps members π

I work with his father and gave him my credentials. The best part is that he does know about DCI and I hope to expose my student toΒ marching and lots of other musical areas.Β
Why limit a young mind to just ONE thing. I love playing my clarinet, but I a brass player by heart! I can ensure yall that he will learn more about DCI π
Thank you for the spelling update. Lately, my phone has been auto correcting at the worst moments lol
Haha - I only mentioned that bc my original post was asking about your student Edgar (I think that should be his nickname now). Autocorrect hates me, I once send out an email to 200 employees on our national sales team apologizing for any incontinence a shutdown may have caused them. π€ The email replies and witty comments went on forever ....

I have some wonderful news everyone... I just got my first student. π I am teaching an edgar 7th grader who is excited to learn! I am really looking forward to being this kids instructor! π
That is fantastic! .... Does he or she know what DCI is our who the Cavaliers are?Β Can you work that into a music theory type component? π
Congratulations π

Same here. I like almost all the changes that have been put in over the last few days....except one Colorguard change at the very end of the show. But that's why I'm a PopcornEater and not a DCI show designer. π
I loved that toss over also! IΒ know there's been a couple miniscule incidents here and there with props - do you think it was design or to avoid injury & be proactive after tarpgate 2018 π If it's the first, maybe they'll add it back in π

Sounds like tonight was a really cool event tied together with the GearWorks camp. I really wish I could have stayed for the show because in addition to my life long love for the Cavaliers, I have crazy LOVE for Legends (my son marched there as well) and we are proud to call both corps family.Β It was great to see them doing something in Michigan together and kudos to the Cavaliers for including them ππ

Oooh, better watch the Patreon live stream then!
I'm at Starbucks in Elkhart - I pulled off the tollroad to watch it. .. I'm not a huge fan of voice overs, so I will reserve my judgment until I see it live at the DeKalb show Sunday.... I usually trust my son's opinion though, so we will see ππ I like a lot of the other changes though

I made the 4.5 hour drive, and had to turn around to go back home before the show even started πΒ I asked my son for an update to give you, and He just messaged me after he saw the first run throughΒ . .. He said HOLY &$@# It's a different show, so many changes and so much cleaner already. Can't believe what they have been able to get done in such a short period of time ππ

I am practically counting down the hours until the corps is in Katy. π
My son, who is an alum, is going to volunteer and travel with them Wednesday through Sunday this week. I will be bringing him to Adrian Michigan to meet up with them, and I will see the show they are performing for the community that night with Legends ..Β I will give you updates if I'm able ππ

The Cavaliers 2020

Me too... Thank you Hook'em for all of your excitement and positivity. ππ
There were a lot of audition interest cards requested at the Cavaliers booth this year. My son was over there handing them out and talking to fans, and he said interest was especially high from people that saw them on the Cali tour.Β I absolutely LOVE the changes made over the last two years, and now with Monty - I have no doubt 2020 will be another great year! πβοΈπΉ
