  1. Yeah if Darcie is still there, they win USBands and that it.

and When was the last time April taught?  15-20 years ago?  You can’t beat on the kids these days...Uugh.

I mean they’re selling it like ...we’re the cadets again.  So what about the last two years, way to spit on the members.  You weren’t the cadets?  Really?

The fact is they can’t design a show and they can’t attract the talent.  These changes don’t solve their real issues.

Meh - if this is true I'm not that excited honestly.  Need much more visual umpf....while I respect Bilby as an amazing Cadet Alum.  He has no experience writing/staging shows especially not in the WGI way that is needed now....I'm hoping for a different visual team.

I’d agree 100% it wouldn’t surprise me if Jeff is consulting in some fashion but who knows.    That’s all I know at this point....

    and thats a lot.....

  3. It’s pretty easy to figure out:

Bonfiglio will take over as director

    bocook is writing brass

    aungst is writing percussion

    bilby writing visual

    donny VanDoren consulting

Matt Stratton brass caption head (been with Bloo but is a cadet alum)

my guess is there will be more consultants as well....not sure about guard.

    “Because that’s what DCIKnowItAll says”

Bigger changes elsewhere Phantom, SCV, BD and Crown to care about!

The Cadets Director change is a done deal. Denise is cleaning house. Wouldn't be surprised if Tom Aungst & Neil Larivee are the only Senior Staff/Design returning.

    Not a bad thing.

Who she is able to bring in/coax & beg  to come back remains to be seen.

I wouldn't be opposed to new blood -  those more on the cutting edge of the activity. After all this is what made the Cadets the Cadets...

    I’m hearing both version:

    1.  Everyone gone

    2. Percussion staff only staying but heard Aungst in will be Corps Director .....

  5. Two rumors heard following DCI this weekend:

    1. That everyone is gone from cadets..including current director.  (This doesn’t make much sense, but is what it is)  Bonfiglio taking over and bringing in new design staff.

    2. Everyone gone with the exception of the Percussion staff.  This also has Aungst assuming corps director role.

The score itself doesn't matter. It's about the difference in spread. Cadets being about 2.5 behind Boston puts them in a tier below. That sounds right.

You should change your name because clearly you don't "know it all".

Brass34 - maybe so but they’re closer to Blue Stars and PR than they are to Boston and the Top 6.

And I marched Cadets so I’m not a hater!

Judges have been working with bands, corps (before rule changes) , which is totally acceptable. I see your inference, meaning Cadets. Most judges at some point have an affiliation with a corps. I have many friends that are judges that have been/marched/taught corps in the past. It is a small field for quality judges.

All we can do is respect that the judges are impartial. LOL In a perfect world.

I have no problem with judges having an affiliation. Again, small world. All I ask for is no bias.

If what you are referencing, again I think your point is aimed at Cadets. Actually, judges that do YEA shows, do it for the love of the activity. TRUST me, they actually lose money personally. Between flight, room, food. They actually basically lose money during a judging a YEA show.

So no, I have no problem.

Actually I think SSF means being able to hire a DCI Judge that was judging during the current season and from all accounts was pulled from panels for questionable numbers....

While we're at it, how about Cesario being in charge of the judges for so many years all while being a head designer of uniforms at FJM and designing uniforms for many competitive drum corps.. conflict of interest?!?  I'd say so...

You're morphing 8 months of events into one sentence. Darryl was replaced by Bobby Jones (who's doing a great job) back in the fall, Sal Salas only has/had a limited consulting role as which Sully also has. The Brass change may be only new change.

And as I said, in one season.

Daryl was writing the visual up until a camp in a December I believe when they fired him as he was supposed to be getting on a flight to camp.

Sal Salas and Mark Sylvester were both brought in and have both been let go.

    Micheal Terry was fired!

Either way still speaks volumes of the organization....I certainly wouldn't want to work there.

Theres a reason why I stopped donating my $34 a long time ago..

  9. So let me get this straight...since the beginning of the season:

Daryl Pemberton, Sal Salas, Mark Sylvester and now Micheal Terry have all been fired?!??

Yikes...has this ever happened before for a corps in one season to fire all these guys that were brought in?
