  1. They appear to all be Madison Scouts but different years!!!!

No, they are 5 completely different groups. Obviously number 4 is Madison, seeing as how its written on their bass drum and theyre standing infrom of the Capitol Dome!

    1 is Wisconsin Rapids Scouts

    2 is St Paul Scouts

    3 is Racine Scouts

    4 is Madison Scouts

    5 is Eau Claire Scouts

I changed my anwser so I am right.

    they all are scouts B)

  2. Why not just play a low brass instrument (ie: baritone)

And what auditions are you talking about? It's July. Corps don't have auditions till December

while I love low brass still, I am trying to broaden my horizons :P

plus I haven't played euph in awhile, I guess I could march bari but I really want to march trumpet, time will tell

December might seem like far away for you, it feels like it is in 5 seconds for me, time is against me....darnit

not too mention the whole transportation delima... <**>

every #### corps has to be so far away

  3. from a sax to bari to euph to trumpet guy

    good luck :P

I was in your position not too long ago, go in with an open mind, be very receptive of what the staff tells you what you need to work on. Since you're playing baritone work on holding the horn properly. Do this everyday, you will thank me! :P TONE is what you want, since you play bari you might get a totally of 1 run in a show depending on the show. Yeh yeh... I know listen to show X's bari lick...I know but for the most part you are just laying down the chords more than doing melodic stuff. Yeh Yeh I know ballads....

ok so they will look for TONE first, it would be nice to get a decent range although you will most likely end up on 3rd bari or euph. Save the triple tounging for the novelty act. Work the basics. The three T's.

    good TONE

    in TUNE

    in TIME

(I think I got that right  )

show them you want it more than anyone else, go in there in nail your solo and have fun! :)

you might just be lucky like me and make a finalist corps (hopefully you will be able to march with them though <**> )

  4. I loved the 88 show. The maturation of their hornline was incredible, and layed the groundwork for future success...  Medea and Belshazzar's Feast are close (seconds?).  I usually listen to the brass preferentially, and the 90-93 brass duel between the Blue Devils and Star was really a fun ride

you know at first glance it looks like you said the

"masterbat(you know the word) of their hornline was incredible"

  5. I AM NOT WORTHY! :lol::lol:

This show has everything! Being a fan of Bond music, including the recent music I love it! The ballad is gorgeous. It is so incredibly eery when they are whistling. They represent the bond character so well, when I think of Cavies I think of finesse(sp?). Bond has some finesse in him but he's also powerful, just like this show is. b**bs
