    White Sabers 2012 Open House

    The White Sabers will be having their 2012 Open House on Saturday, December 17th from Noon until 5pm at the Livingston County Highway Department Building located at 4389 Gypsy Lane, Mt. Morris, NY 14510. This is just a short drive from Rochester. We will be serving dinner after the open house at the Bingo Hall, 161 Main Street in Dansville. Everyone is welcome!! We hope to see you there!!

    These are all Kanstul "G" horns: 8 sop. 9 mello`s, 10 baris and 6 contras all in very good condition. All horns have cases and contra`s have gig bags $24500.00 plus shipping cost.     The White Sabers have openings for 2 snare, 1 tenor and 2 bass players. Our drumline took high percussion at finals in Class A. If your interested go to www.whitesabers.org and fill out an application.

    It sent chills down my spine when you guys played through the warm up and opener. OOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It's gonna be a great year!!! Ben really has outdone himself with the music. Can't wait to add the percussion and pit, to put it all together. Next camp is Dec 16th and 17th. Hope we can get everyone there that was missing this weekend! And yeah, the contra section rocks, Mike!

    How many NY State Drum corps are there!

    How many actual New York State Drum Corps are there in existance? Who are they and where are they? When's their first camp?

    The White Sabers Drum Corps is from Dansville, NY (approx 50 miles South of Rochester). We will be holding our first camp and open house next Sunday, November 19th, from 9am until 3pm at the Livingston County Highway Dept. Bldg. in Mt. Morris, NY. This is our home during the winter. Everyone is welcome to attend! Great Music, Great Instuctors, Great Fun and Great Food!

    It's now Sunday.

    And whatever the minds decide for the show idea it better be good.

    D#$m good.

    I can't believe we haven't decided anything with 30 days to go.

    Hey Mike,

    The show has been decided. We will be announcing it at the banquet! It's going to be great! Extremely exciting and fan friendly! That's all I can say. You'll just have to show up at the banquet to find out what it is!

    Thanks Leslie! It was a pleasure to come to your show, rain or not!!

    I just hope I didn't jinx you doing my version of a No-Rain Dance! B)

    Just like I jinxed myself when I bought a triangle kit in case of breakdown instead of the flares on the truck and I spent 15 1/2 hours getting the truck to Reading after losing the water pump on the thruway!

    Then The truck was low but not empty on fuel and the incline on the hill going up Perkiomen towards the show site, slide the fuel away from the intakes and was quite the stressful situation for the corps not to say how I turned a few more hairs gray that evening!! :sshh:

    After getting back to the hotel I passed out and left reading at noon on sunday only to fight the torrential rain on the 476 ^0^

    Really enjoyed hyper-planeing thru the mountains!! I got to binghampton and it cleared to make it a little less stressful and got home around 8 pm :P

    I wish you and the White Sabers all the best for this upcoming DCA Championships and look forward to seeing you at I & E's friday night and will tip a few to celebrate the end of another sucessful year of Drum Corps for us all! :lol::lol:
