In a reverse of last year when I won a lot of regular shows only to loose out on finals night. So I guess the key is to have a sub-par regular season and go for it championship week(end).

Never played fantasy football so I have no idea how my team looks. I'll play it by ear and see what happens.

Having all the Velour Knight kids fill in holes and the advantage of having the home show, really inspired the folks to show that Knightmare isn't ready to leave championships without a medal.

It took me from the 1st time you posted this data until it's reamergence later int the thread to make the connection that if the Colt's Organization as a whole has one filing, then all those staff members are for TWO corps. Just an BTW.
You have to know, when you posted the amount of instructors the Colts had. Major Red Flags went up for me. I went into Code Red Mode

I know. I saw those stats, and I thought to myself: "That isn't a very lean organizational structure!" And to be fair, the situation at the Colts probably mirrors that of many WC corps. If anything, it may be worse, but other corps in WC are much more tight-lipped about the size of their staffs.An excellent PDSA cycle would be to take the staff of a particular caption, at a WC corps, and reduce it by 75%. Then see the impact on the corresponding caption scores. If there is little or no impact, do you make further reductions?

One mroe caveat, there have been two ties for 'last qualifying place'. One tie for 12th in 1977, but there were still only 12 placing corps in finals as it was th year Bridgemen were DQ'd for marching an overager, also there was a tie for 17th place after quarters in 2005, meanign 18 corps marched for Semis, and it should be noted that those two corps Mandarins and Seattle Cascades remained tied for 17th at Semis as well.
In 88 Spartans and Ventures both tied for the last qualifier into Semis, thus having 26 corps in Semis.

Well not just the guard aspects but WGI went away from "marching" and drill a long time ago. It's all about staging. There is movement away from traditional "drill" in favor of staging your elements.

Yes – Well it would be hard to convince someone who is solidly in the 1st camp. My argument is that there is not way to be “shafted” if a director was playing the season with the points given. The only way that could happen is if they tried to predict what the final cap would be and select captions from there.
There will be directors who still choose to go that route, although it would be a gamble. OR they could just play the points give, then work out where they would go if they got 2 more, 3 more, 4 more points. Make their caption changes. Then start the process over, where will I go if I got 1 more, 2 more, 3 more points.
It’s just a more fair way of managing your corps. Everyone is in the same boat so to speak.

Yes – Very similar to a “Most Consistent” award that I internally give to a corps that will well all season and may or may not have done well championship week.

Yes - Give corps 2 more caption changes championship week (provided you advance). The only problem I have with the amendment is that purpose is to get more corps advancing and eliminating corps in a more even fasion. This would counter that.

Knightmare finally is getting their show in order. It helps when all the holes get filled by the Velour Knight kids who have finished their junior season. Don't sleep on Knightmare!!

It could have been.... I just returned from CA, yes we were neighbors bill, and got pnemonia. I was fatigued and went to see the dr on friday. He admitted me right away with a pulse of 165 bpm. I was in A - Fib and felt no pain. No outside internet, only my cheap sell phone to see the front page of DCI to find out who won. Not sure it would have made a difference, but i would have been much louder on the boards talking smack. All is well now.... I'm in sinus rhythm and down to normal bpms. I look forward to next season and taking the sword back. Also, I'm a little bitter for losing the CA title since I went 10 - 1 - 0 in shows I attended in DCI-p Pacific ! Oh well... I'll take it....

Would this rule be accompanied by a reduction in the "salary cap" for World and Open classes?
If not, it would cause some severe inflation in those scores (for instance, everyone in Open could have bought lots and lots of Crown this year; relatively cheap [with unadjusted caps], with some major bang for your buck).
I would therefore propose that, in years when the maximum price is reduced to 20, the initial caps for World and Open should go to 130/100, and increase through the season to a maximum of 135/105.
Yes if this rules passes then there would have to be a salary cap adjustment. What that adjustment would be can be voted on as well.

I would like to see if one of the focus show could be out west. Other than having championship in the west every 4 season, we don't get late season shows.
Just throwing the region in the hat.
Maybe have the focus show in AK swing over and through Canada. Down the west coast then over to the south.
