Cool Deal
-
You may now begin entering your captions and tour schedule for DCP-I XIV!
Everyone that has posted in the registration thread should be set up and ready to go.
If you have any issues (or see any mistakes), please let me know. Good luck!!
In the past, required shows weren't counted as part of the 30 shows. By that I would assume that the regional and Championship Prelims would not count.
Please clarify on what shows count and which do not. Having to select prelims as a show, shouldn't the parameters on shows be 31 shows at least?

We'll be here when you're ready to come back. Hopefully as a seasoned finals age-out.

Derrick was also on staff in 92.

My reps are always on my DCPI site. I think the vehicle is there we just have to use it.

1987-1992
I with you here. Same years I would have picked.

Which state has the highest percentage of its corps in finals? MICHIGAN!!!! 6 out of 7 corps (86%) made finals
This may be true, but California had 13 of 16 make finals and that with 2 bubble corps (13th). 15 of 16 in the top 13 I think is very impressive.
Of the 36 finalist spots California had 36% of them.
-
Unfortunately you have the only corps in your class from Ohio. You need at least two (in the same class), to have a championship race.
-
Updated listing the newest champs. Still need to update highest scores, number of finalist appearances, etc.
This never got updated from last season.
-
The Elite Brigade (World) finished in 5th not 6th.
Sorry
Changed.

Congrats to the Knights for another CLASS championship
As a side note, the Velour Knights finish with their highest off-season placement ever.
-
The Season for both of the NEOMAO Corps has come to an end. Much progress was made in some areas, while in others significant opportunities still exist.
The final results for the season:
Silver Streak
Silver Streak began the season a bit slower than their inaugural season last year, but quickly fell into stride and improved their placement from 33rd in DCPI-XII to 19th overall this season with a score of 92.535. This year's program was considerably more challenging than the inaugural year show, featuring all original music this year. The Corps was pleased to make it past Prelims and into the Quarterfinals.
Bronze Star
This being an inaugural season for the Open Class Bronze Star, the entire season was filled with difficulties. We started off very slow, and never managed to gain significant momentum despite several major re-writes in the Brass and visual portions of the show. The Corps placed 30th overall, with a score of 85.800.
The productions for the DCPI-XIV season are currently in the planning stages for both corps. NEOMAO is also pleased to announce that they will be fielding an A Class Corps in DCPI-XIV, which will be called Titanium. Program announcements, as well as an audition camp schedule, will be made in the forthcoming weeks.
The Instructors and Staff of NEOMAO wish to congratulate all Corps for a spectacular season, and we look forward to seeing all of you on the competition field in the DCPI-XIV Season!
Congrats on your season to season improvement.
and welcome to the world of 3 corps Org. competition

VK Org. is extremely happy with the way championship week is going thus far. Velour Knights have been very consistent and are just hoping to maintain for the remaining shows. VK Too made some tweaks to the show after returning to housing from Quaters. It helped them moved up into the middle of the finalist pack. VK³ has had the more stressful week. Having to make major changes to the show in the last week, but as of last night, it seem to have all paid off. The staff is even thinking about adding one more thing just for finals. Big difference over the feeling we had last week when we were fearful of not even making finals. The kids have worked very hard.
-
Top 3 remain the same but some movement in the middle of the pack. One more show for the Open and A class to finalize their spots and there are 5 World Class corps that will have their seasons end tonight.
So after the 2nd round of championships here's were we stand:
1.(1) Org, of Uspecified Identity {2+2+0} = 4 points
2.(2) Knight Org. {3+0+4} = 7 points
3.(3) Glory of Music {6+4+2} = 12 points
4.(6) VK Org. {5+7+3} = 15 points
5.(4) The Star Org. {0+10+7} = 17 points
6.(5) Fastener Group {7+5+6} = 18 points
7.(9) Inland Empire Youth Arts {10+6+5} = 21 points
8.(7) CRASS {9+9+8} = 26 points
9.(11) Hydrargyrum Music Org. {14+13+10} = 37 points
10.(10) Nastagia Music Project {17+12+9} = 38 points
11.(8) Knights of … {13+14+14} = 41 points
12.(12) F.C. United {4+11+27} = 42 points
13.(13) SSYAO {18+18+16} = 52 points
14.(14) HUB Org. {25+16+23} = 64 points
15.(17) CODCE {26+22+22} = 70 points
16.(15) Oregon Youth Performing Arts {24+28+19} = 71 points
17.(18) WCAMA {20+31+21} = 72 points
18.(16) Empire State Music {22+24+26} = 72 points

Not too many LOST fans in here I see.
-
Maybe just maybe they saw a big flash of light an the whole corps time traveled to 1977 and will be stuck there until the next bug flash of light.
-
Yes, lower placements numbers are better.
8th place is better than 22nd place, thus 8 points is better than 22 points
-
I've done this in the past but have made a slight adjustment. To give more credit to a championship, a first place will have a value of ZERO points.
So after the 1st round of championships here's were we stand:
Org, of Uspecified Identity {0+2+0} = 2 points
Knight Org. {2+4+3} = 9 points
Glory of Music {7+2+2} = 11 points
The Star Org. {4+4+4} = 12 points
Fastener Group {3+6+5} = 14 points
VK Org. {5+12+6} = 23 points
CRASS {9+7+7} = 23 points
Knights of … {6+10+10} = 26 points
Inland Empire Youth Arts {8+9+9} = 26 points
Nastagia Music Project {14+11+12} = 37 points
Hydrargyrum Music Org. {16+14+8} = 38 points
F.C. United {13+13+27} = 53 points
SSYAO {24+18+17} = 59 points
HUB Org. {25+16+23} = 64 points
Oregon Youth Performing Arts {19+28+19} = 66 points
Empire State Music {17+24+26} = 67 points
CODCE {26+22+22} = 70 points
WCAMA {23+31+21} = 75 points
If you have an organization of 3 corps and are not on the list please let me know.
I have not yet figured out how to include 2 corps orgs because the 2 may be in different classes.

After the 1st round of Championships ALL THREE of my corps are in 9th place. What are the odds? LOL
Well not too good. Elite Brigade is actually tied for 8th.
