  1. i don't think you understand how things work here. it's often known that drum majors are almost always very very attractive. you must have a butt to compliment that uniform that shows it very well, when your arse is hanging waving in front of 30,000 people.

don't deny it drum majors are almost always very hot.

Oh come off it...don't come in here and tell me "how things work here" you pretentious brat. You write as though I don't know how drum corps work. Where did you march? When did you march? Throw that info up here and then try and tell me "how things work here" like you f*cking know!

Some brat that marched 3rd trumpet in some random corps, that honestly probably never marched a day in his life since he doesn't have the scrote to say anything other than "2005-Division I Corps" thanks for the generic scolding on how things work in drum corps.

Oh, and not all drum majors are "always very hot" maybe in this modern marching band bastardization of what drum corps used to be, back when I marched, which wasn't as long ago as you probably think!

  2. This is one of the best decisions that I believe has ever been made for the corps. Jeff will not only keep the Scouts where they should be, he will surround himself with the people that will be most effective for the job, be it caption heads, techs, writers, etc.

Any nay-sayers that thought the Scouts were destined for failure have another thing coming.

Any member of the 2006 and earlier corps that still have years left, he will be a great director, you are in good hands. H*ll, I wish I could change my birth certificate and march again, I would love march with Jeff as a director.

  3. while that is a good joke... i dont feel they've ever left. You cannot peg one type of anything on the cadets other then the word "not usual"

I would have to agree. Do I like the Cadets shows the last few years, well...parts of them. But I give them credit for trying something new (even if it has been done in BOA shows for a few decades) but I digress. I have a CD of the Cadets that I bought in 1995 which was entitled "Relentless Pursuit of the Edge" I know what their intention was as far as the title, but I think it holds true today. And that is one credit I will give them.

  4. I would bring back the Velvet Knights.

In light of recent situations in many corps, and the opinions that have been expressed by many people both positive and negative, I think we are finding ourselves in a time in which this activity is taking itself way way way too seriously.

So yeah, we need someone to come back out, perform great, and mock the s*it out of this activity. Can you imagine what VK would have done with the Carmen thing Madison did, or whatever the f*ck the Cadets did this summer, or the Spin Cycle show. I can only dream they will return.

  5. Jane Seymour is planning the "Somewhere in Time" show in which the corps will move at 88mph, transporting the corps back to 1976 (the early season) and the Scouts will perform their 1st show from that season in 2007. Ultimately pushing the drum corps activity back to piston-rotor bugles, marching timpani, no yardlines, and 28 person rifle lines that spin double time for the entire show, triple time during all ballads. The show will conclude with the 2004 Blue Devils reappearing in the north end zone, and the 1989 Santa Clara Vanguard appearing from behind the Phantom masks. There will be a collision in the center of the field, the flux capaciter will be destroyed, and all in the stadium will be dressed in super man T-shirts and sitting on the porch of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island on the annual "Somewhere in time" weekend in October.

And all will be right with the world.

  6. No...the Scouts are actually going out on a limb with this choice. The person lives in Dane County, in a shanty since the cancellation of their duty as an entertainer.

This will also mark the first time a female has taken on a key role in the Scouts hierarchy. Her name is Jessica Simpson. She has been a Scouts fan for years and thought that she should throw herself into the running since she's done know how to do things higher, louder, and faster than everyone else.

  7. For me, I would have to say 1997 Madison, I know you people had goosebumps watching us if you were there! Sorry, being a little cocky.

Same year, 1997 SCV the MOST underated ending of all time in my opinion. The crowd didn't seem to "get it" or it could have been that the corps that performed before SCV were still getting back from getting their hot dogs or waking up from their nap.
