  1. See, Johngough! All that worrying for nothing. You did an outstanding job. And I must say, the band parents from the Toms River High School East have their act together. Meeting with them during the planning stages and working with them at the show, tells me they are one organized group! Loved working with them. It was a great night for all!

I totally agree! #1 Job well done John. #2 Love the band parents at Toms River East. They're always organized and ready to assist. They make our job easier. It was a fantastic night of drum corps and seeing so many old friends. Let's do it again next year!!!

  3. way to go Bush, glad to see you closing the gaps between you and the corps ahead of you.

    Do us Alumni proud.

Phil, come out on Sunday to Ridgefield Park to see rehearsal. We'll be tailgating! Many alumni coming out for the afternoon.

See all of you at Rochester. I can't wait to see the circus!

Smoothy, if you're good I'll let you pet our elephant. Looking forward to seeing you, the Govies and your show next week!

Are you marching? If you are, it's me, Adam S., and you still going from our Vanguard sopranos years together. Larry P's doing our horns this year, too!

See you at the big show!!!!!

I will join you for that frothy beverage boys!! :) Just because I didn't march sop those years doesn't mean I don't count in beer drinking. lol

Sounds as per usual a fun time was had by all in MN last weekend. Thanks for the review John.

See you all very soon!!!:worthy:

  5. I posted a link to the show info on my facebook status update. I've got a lot of fb friends living in the TR area. Here's to a great show! If there's a show facebook calendar event, let me know and I'll point to that too.

I'm not sure if this works seeing it's from my own facebook events, but I think this'll work, maybe, I hope...

You can always direct them to our website too that has all the info: www.bushwackers.org

    Thanks RJ!

  6. I would like to report that they arrived in NYC at around 1pm this afternoon EST ... I got a call from my friend who plays trumpet with them while they were still at the airport

Very cool to hear. I'm so happy we're going international for this show.

Hmmm, I may have to rethink my cooler plans for the weekend and go with some Guinness to honor our guests!:doh:

  7. The stadium is a wonderful venue for drumcorps viewing and it has had artificial turf added since the last Jersey Shore Invitational a few years ago.

Dont forget The Seaside boardwalk is just down the road from the stadium!

Sweet! I didn't know they added turf.

I'm so excited we're back in Toms River. I think I'm going to make it a full weekend at the shore!!!

  8. The Bushwackers will meet again on March 21st at the Garfield VFW Post from 10am-5pm. Come. Check it out. You'll dig it.

Following our rehearsal, we'll be having a St. Patrick's Day/karaoke jam celebration at the VFW. Again, come. Meet the members and staff. Enjoy drum corps and the friendships and bonds it fosters.

Looking forward to March 21st!!! Everyone needs to come out to the St Pat's Karaoke Party!!! Alumnus, friends, people that live in the neighborhood, future Bushwackers. I'm looking forward to hearing the lovely voices of you people. I'm sure some of you could make it far on American Idol.

It'll be $10 at the door, free hot dogs, cash bar, tons of laughs and probably a leprechaun sighting. Make a day of it! Come early in the day for rehearsal and stay well into the night for singing!

  9. Bush...in fact if they had a few more horses last year and got out of the box a bit stronger, who knows what may have happened.

Horses?! That's all we needed? Well this year with the circus-ish theme, we just may be able to use the horses. Throw in a couple extra lions and tigers and we'll be awesome.

I hear the "others" are doing a really good show this year. They may be the corps to beat.
