  1. Due to unforeseen circumstances the Boston University Winter Percussion Ensemble (WGI PIO) has a spot open in the bass line for 3rd bass.

With such a short time left in the season the fees for the season would be only $50.00, yes you read that correctly! We can take care of housing you also if you drive a distance up for the weekend camps.

Please check out the web site at: http://www.buwpe.org where you can view the schedule as well as LISTEN TO THE SHOW!

Please E-Mail me at scott @ buwpe.org (remove the spaces) for more information or just come down to the camp this weekend, it is at the BU Band Room:

    278 Babcock Street

    Boston, MA 02215

    Don't miss this great opportunity!

  3. Hello All,

Exciting times are coming for DPL.net. Yes, that means major web site updates . In the next 3-6 months we will be setup as an official 501© non-profit organization. This will allow us to start to offer major scholarships as well as form strategic partnerships and other things to help promote marching percussion. As such we are looking to add some people to the team. None of these positions are paid, however those who travel to DCI, WGI, etc. with us will have their travel paid. Travel will also be paid to those who are selected for the Board of Directors for our annual meeting in New York City.

We are looking to add people to the following 4 positions:

    A) Board of Directors

President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations Director

Would be required to attend the annual Board of Directors meeting. Also be available for quarterly conference calls and regular day to day E-Mail communication.

    B) Web Site Developers

    2 Positions Available

We could really use people in this department. Would be responsible for web site design, putting up new media from our media department, and overall public image. During the WGI season we would expect to have the site updated weekly. During the DCI season every 3-4 days.

    C) Media Capture

    25-40 Positions

Would be responsible for capturing media (both video and audio) for the web site. You would have to have your own audio capture equipment. It is preferable that you also have video capture equipment, however DPL.net owns some video equipment. DPL.net shirts are provided so that you are easily identified as part of the crew. In an ideal world a person can cover at least 2 DCI shows and 1 WGI show per year. We will take a few of these people to WGI and DCI Championships every year.

    D) Media Processing

    3-5 Positions

Would be responsible for taking the media from the people in group C and making it digital (MP3 for audio, QuickTime .mov for video). Must have the equipment and software to be able to do this. THIS POSITION IS KEY to making this project run smoothly. We appreciate people who will step up and handle this.

You can apply and serve in more than one group, but we want to get this away from a 2-3 person show. So ideally someone is not part of more than two groups, but we'll see how the response is.

If you would like to apply, please send your information (and resume if Board of Directors) to sdubois@ndctech.com.

    Thank you.

    -Scott
