  1. So last nights performance is up on the fan network, and they clearly didn't waste any time on their day off the other day. They made a lot of changes to the show with some of the major ones being the change of drill at the where they took out the pinwheels and some more visual things added as well as some taken out. They have also incorporated the trunks into the show with a special use for them at the end of the second act. I won't spoil this for you if you haven't seen it. Overall, I see why they have jumped in front of BK. They have made a lot of improvements to the show and are still adding some tasteful things to it. If you have not watched the video yet, I suggest you stop what you are doing right now and go watch it. Keep up the great work Glassmen, its looking great!

GOOD LUCK GLASSMEN TONIGHT IN ALLENTOWN!!!!

That's the Warrenton show from 2 days ago when they first beat BK and thats a bad night for them. Just think when they are on how good the show will be.

  2. A friend of mine was asked to fill a hole for Glassmen last night but he can't do it. I'm hoping they can recruit some more people to fill in those holes which should clean up the drill quite a bit.

From what I heard, I think they only have a bari hole left. The rest of the holes are filled with people that are injured and a few new people. Anyway's I thought they had a great run last night and I thought the closer was a bit more cleaner than the opener was. I'm very proud of them and I just hope they can keep on jumping in the rankings. Lets see if the Glassmen can make it back to Murfreesboro and speaking of Murfreesboro, how do they pick the corps that make it in? It has changed so much since I marched and I think they do it by average score? Can anyone help me out on this one thank's.

  3. My friend from the contra line called me up right before warm up and told me they were going to throw down today. Since last night wasnt a good show for them and I guess they did. GO G! Btw thanks for the play by play Kevin. YOUR MY BOY KEVIN!

    G-Contra!

  4. I'm sorry... this has to stop. The Glassmen is a top notch organization in which i proudly marched for 5 years. Would i rather be anywhere else? No. Why? Because this organization screams professionality. From head to toe, Brian Hickman has done wonders with this organization and for you to sit here and ridicule his staff not only shows your imaturity as a fan, but how much you don't know about the Glassmen organization. Tim Newburn is a new light to this acitivity and has shown his capabilities over the past years. The guard has been fantastic. In fact, one night while the Cavaliers were warming up, Bruno had their guard stop and watch the Glassmen guard warm-up. Not because they were tragic, but because they strove for perfection. So for you to sit here and bash the glassmen guard, and organziation, could indeed be the most petty thing on earth. There are bigger fish to fry on this earth than to bash a youth driven, arts organization.

Good Luck to the GLASSMEN this season. Saw them at camp, they will again be fantastic.

Great post. I just hate how so many people hate on the Glassmen. I never hate on any corps and just hope they all have a good season and whoever makes finals congrats. I just hope the same dog fight happens again and all the great show from the semi finalist and those that didn't make semi's continue. I cant wait to see everyone this summer and wish everyone marching good luck and be safe.

  5. if my memory stands correct, that show started at the end, and ended at the beginning, hence the "are you ready" at the end

It was a good idea but i guess the judges didnt like it but i just wanted to add there hornline was sick that year and those trumpet solos were out of hand. From this day those solos are stuck in my head lol

  6. I was watching the Blue Devils 2005 show tonight and at the end of the show, BD ask "audience are you ready" and it sounds like the crowd says NO! I didn't really get to see the show at finals or during the seaon and its the first time I really heard that. So I just wanted to know if it was a yeah! or a no!. I remember BD was getting stuff for all the talking that year, so I wouldn't be surprise that people would say no since they were against it.

  7. I noticed that Phantom, Bluecoats and Glassmen got penalty's in the evening show. Phantom got a .3 penalty, Bluecoats got a .25 penalty and Glassmen got a .9 penalty. I think I know why Glassmen got there penalty since they were getting on field while they asked if they were ready. I just don't know why Phantom or Bluecoats got there penalty's. I'm guessing maybe they didn't get off or on the field on time since they have props. The penalty's didn't change the placements but Glassmen (78.8 without penalty) was closer to Colts (78.825) and Academy (78.975). Those 3 corps should be very close the rest of the season and not to forget Blue Stars and Spirit right on top of them too. It should be a great race this season and I cant wait to see who makes the top 12 and are new DCI champion this summer.

  8. HOLY $&% what a show! I just got home from the Atlanta and Crown you guys were amazing live and it was everything and more than I expected. Cadets thank you for bringing drum corps back! I was blown away by the Cadets and you guys march and sound great. I thought you guys would take it but lets see what happens at finals. BTW IMO Crown should be in the top 4. Other than that, Troopers had a great hornline and so did Bluestars too. I cant forget to add the corps, who i think should be right in the mix the Bluecoats. I love those contras and i'm hoping you guys can break the top 3 soon. Good luck to all the corps and thank you for a great show.
