Now David,
You're centainly not suggesting I violate any copyrigt laws are you? ^0^ .
And Donnie, the Barfer knows the truth, he's just tryiing to rile you up, at his expense ! Go figure.

I wasn't sure a professional video was made in 1991. That's why I put DCA in ( )'s with a ? at the end of the sentence. What video company shot it?
From my post, what made you think I was suggesting that? I simply asked for some information!
"I'd love a video, how do I get one (DCA)?"

You're Right Donny, you guys (ES) won Brass and GE, we (Cabs) won M+M. Percussion went to Westshore and Bush (two separate awards) so says the video I just watched. BTW, nice vibrato in "Beguine".
Hey Fossil,
I'd love a video, how do I get one (DCA)?

I have a bet with Bruce "the barfer" Ziegler on the high brass award at DCA 1991. For some reason he still wont concede that the trophy sits at the Bingo Palace on 341 Ridge Rd. E. in Rochester.
He still says that the Cabs won. I know for a fact that Empire won.
Does anyone have tangible evidence in their archives anywhere? ...Like the scores and caption breakdowns?
Thanks...
Donny
Donny,
I have the official breakdowns from both the prelims and the finals. Give me his email address and we'll shut him up.

The hole was filled today by our very own Batman.
Dave - if I had known you were interested!
Looking forward to seeing you all in Rochester.
Chris,
That's the story of my life, beat out by a superhero!

It dosen't matter, 2nd, 3rd, 4th flugelhorn, a drill (even though I am the inventor of pit brass, which was by necessity not choice) all that matters is the chance to be a Renegade for a few days. That's all that counts. And besides, I read like a bear, ask Roland.

Lee,
Send me the music!

My Dad "Harvey" joined his first corps in 1937 in Gloversville, NY. I didn't start until 1955 in Rochester, NY. David Martin

I played most of the solos with the 1967 Crusaders, at age 16. I was featured, in the concert number (you youngster know what that is?) St. James Infirmery.

Attention all leads and soprano players. I was just curious as to what many of you are using out there. I personally am using a GR64.7MS Since I have been using this mouthpiece I have come to enjoy it very much. Do we have any other GR players out there.
I played large Schilke's (20,18,17,15) for 35yrs. and recently found the GR 67m a little less work to accomplish the same result.

There you go! Right from the horses mouth. And that's exactly the way I remember it. Yes, many fond memories and lots of memories I don't remember.
See you all at the reunion, Labor Day Weekend, Knights Inn (Pittston exit), Scranton PA.
Great job Kausch!

The Hitmen play Schilke B5's, you got $2800?
-
The uni's were JC Penny's work clothes. My mother Shirley sewed and fitted all the extra pieces to the uni in our living room. The whole outfit priced out for under $30, shoes not included. With the people in that corps nude would have work also.

Your review was terrific. Don't let the little stuff bother you. The big newspapers make errors too.
I loved it! Thanks for your time and effort.

Just to correct your review, which by the way was great, The Hitmen are 2002,2003 DCA Brass Ensemble Champions. That is what Mr. Hershman said on Saturday in his intro.
