  1. I am pretty sure Crown will have their changes implemented in the show tonight.

I think Cadets will be close to 80 but won't break the 80 barrier......but for all of you out there I have seen the Cadets show three times now and their show is very difficult and when they finally clean it up it will be the year of GOLD! This is the year my friends wait and watch!

Oh one other thing to mention the Cadets drum line is nothing but spectacular If you get a chance check them out.....

  2. Way to go Granny,

I also agree  with you, I made this prediction a few months ago when the Cadets said they were going back in time with their show.....They haven't gained any ground on the Blue Devils at this point, but I was told that they have made a few changes and should show some results in the next few shows. Don't forget everyone that the Cadets are late bloomers, so hold on tight to your seats an enjoy the ride. This is going to be a great year for drum corps fans, due to the fact that there are so many good corps this year....

  3. I would have to say a nod to the Cavies in this show down.....But look for the Holy Name Cadets to surge towards the end of the season to add another championship to their trophy room....The Cadets have much more room to inprove their show compared to the other corps....Most of the other corps are pretty clean already....It will be a dogfight in this show with the Cavies coming out on top by a few tenths of a point.....I promise you this, the Cadets will be having people in the stands shouting we what more and more by the time August arrives....It is starting to show already and it is only June....

    GO Cadets

  4. I was at the Allentown show last night and all I can say about the Cadets is that they are amazing and amazing. I will put myself on the line and predict that they will win the championship in California. Narration or no narration this corp is HOT and march their tootsie's off. As far as for their horn line all I can say is WOW.

    To discribe the Cadets: Machine

    GO CADETS!

  5. I'd go with Crown - it was really well staged (and played) BUT IMO a tad long.

So - the execution and staging of the Cadets ballad had me misty-eyed finals night.  That was amazing.

SO - verdict is:  CADETS

I would have to agree with you George on your pick of the Cadets.

I was also misty-eyed at Allentown and Giants Stadium. Overall I thought the Cadets show was just amazing and how they pulled it off!

    1st pick: Cadets

    2nd pick: Crown

  6. HOLY ####!

Look out, here come the Cadets everyone!

    Your Right, Holy ####!

The Cadets are on a roll and there corps is like a rocket ship headed to the (championship) moon!

There show really rocks and is getting cleaner by the day! Some of the people that don't understand this show must get to see it again! This show could break the old time highest score for DCI Championship 99.15, we will have to wait and see on August 13th

    GO CADETS

  7. Well, you are welcome to your opinion, but all the reviews I have read from San Antonio range from liking them to loving them.  Michael Boo even mentions, in his review for the DCI web site of that show, that the Cadets had tremendous crowd response.

I think their show is just amazing, and the Bjork charts are so close to the originals.  This may not be drum corps as many would like it to be, but I love it.  I think it's great that they are trying this kind of stuff.  I get so tired of the same old, same old.  If I wanted to live with the dinasours I would go back in time.  No thanks.

It's funny that people only bash the Cadets, and sometimes BD, when they try this stuff, but they fail to bash the other corps who are using amps, voice, narration (except for a few who like to complain about everything).

The Cadets are awesome, musical, cutting edge, and down-right fun and entertaining this year.  NO DOUBT!

But that's just my 2 cents.

    Jonathan

    Jonathan,

You said a mouth full

I once was kind of a old school drum corps alumni and fan myself, back in the old days.... But for the last twenty 24 years I have been enjoying the change in drum corps. Mind you, I don't ever want to see drum corps turn into bands, but I really can except the big changes that happen every year.

I have seen the Cadets only one time this season in Lousville and I was amazed by there show that night. This show kicks some mean butt and some of the things they do on the field are mind boggling. And I would have to agree with you that "The Cadets are awesome, musical, cutting edge, and down-right fun and entertaining this year. NO DOUBT!"

I will be looking forward in seeing them in Allentown and Giants Stadium.

I also really beleive that the Cadets will catch the Cavies, either at Giants Stadium or at DCI finals.

We all should give the kids in the Cadets a great BIG hand, in what they are trying to accomplish and that is to put on a very different show for all of us to see and enjoy, instead of bashing them.

Remember everyone, this is only my opinion.

  8. The Cadets had a setback in Wichita and I hope everything is ok with the kids and bus driver.

They had plenty of time to practice and it shows with there score of 89.450 in Midland, TX. Can't wait for this weekend to see how they fare up going head to head with the Cavies and Blue Devils.

    GO CADETS
