I have been to every finals since aging out in 1985. The one that stands out in my mind is at the end of 1987 Sky Ryders show. That was one of the most emotional shows that I have ever seen.

I was at the show. A man sitting one row in front of me and about 5 people over did yell G7 when Phantom was on the field. I did not notice the shoe. I thought he might yell again when Bluecoats were entering but he did not.

Maybe it's a matter of working smarter instead of harder.
I would have to say that Cadets work smart and hard. It seems to me that with the drill that Cadets put out most years they would have to work harder to get to the same level of cleanliness as some other corps.
