  1. OMG- Upstate NY-

With the number of HS bands in the metropolitian areas of - Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse not to mention those near the Wester/ mid Penn border we could definitely field a div. 2 corps. Marching in DCI is a a life long experience that many upstate kids never get to do b/c of school going until mid June. (like the 3rd week- it sucks) Oh, they march senior corps out of desire to participate in the activity, but it takes a lot of drive to march Div. 1- especially while in HS. Not to mention the talented staff that is in Upstate NY we'd be ready to go!

    Bring it on!

  2. Living in New York with it's hellish regents exams, we do not finish school here till the third week in June. <**>

On top of that our school has now instituted an attendance requirement for classes.

Consequently, any student that is following regents strand this practically eliminates any chance of them joining a Div. 1 corps.

The youngest one however was able to join her older sister on tour marching CR at the ripe age of 14-a freshman in high school.

It was an amazing and wonderful experience for her and now that she's college bound, I can't wait to see what the future brings.

  3. Whooo Hoo-

    Go Bloo...

All I can say is that I've been following for a while- and knew back in 2000 that they'd be a force to recon (sp?) with.

The ground work was laid long ago- and it's now taking shape. Having worked with staff I know they won't let up and will only go forward - regression will not be allowed. The kids have shown us what they can do with the book they've been given. It says it all. Can't wait for the future.

    BCCG Mom '00, 04, ?

  4. It is with great sadness that we hear about Aunt Buff...she was around when my oldest marched with Bluecoats, and welcomed us with open arms when Katie arrived on the scene for '05....She shared with so much-offering help in any way, and was always there when ever the corps needed her. Aunt Buff always gave 150%..and will be sadly missed by all...
