And it’s uncle is Phantom cuz someone has to die at the end. LOL.

I thought Genesis had some nice moments. Enjoyed the music and really liked their use of the props.
Agree. Loved the guard member traversing the props as well as the way the brassline was staged on it.

They used the tarp last night. No tarp tonight.

I see on social media that Genesis is having truck troubles, hope they make it in time!
Talked to a couple MM after the show when I was leaving the stadium.
Sounds like they had issues with the food truck as well and Troopers stepped in to feed them. Gotta love drum corps. Go Troop and Genesis!!!

Live by the electric props.
Die by the electric props.
Gotta work out those kinks PC.
Distracted rather than enhanced.
Great concept. Look forward to seeing it down the road. Did love the flag/LED prop coordination’s.

No way is mandarins within 2 points of Cavies. That was kicked up a notch. And new ending perhaps?

That pit is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Go Cavies!

Mandarin over BK in my book.
But the master class on goosebumps that SCV just put on was unreal. The closer, the closer, the closer😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 even if it is version 1 of the closer.

This BK show doesn’t connect with me at all. . Which is weird for me. Actually kinda bored. It was nice. But just didn’t pull me in and make me want to see it again.
Have to agree the uni’s look phenomenal under the lights.

Genesis is in the house (or taking the field). Props and pit and uniforms and instruments and all. Looks like they made it.

Golds endzone to endzone tarp was kinda impressive. Loved the one handed playing with the briefcases. Great job by the trumpet quartet in the closer.
First (well deserved) standing ovation of the night.

Vessel was short but sweet. Loved what they have on the field so far.
Gold just setting up. They look very big compared to everyone before them.

The schedule isn't always posted there, though. Unless there is another page I don't know about that's not just for the parents or the volunteers
thanks all.
I texted the people I know marching this year to get the info.
Corps looked great and loved the cleaning and changes from this week.
Cant wait to see them Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

Ok. Going old school. Didn’t the Seattle Marauders use large scaffolding for a show. I remember seeing it back at Parade Stadium for Drum Beauty in Minneapolis. For some reason I remember hearing it collapsed during a show.
Today’s props look much more efficiently and safely designed.

Are they posting their daily schedule anywhere? Headed there Thursday to watch practice and deliver some Gatorade to the Euphoniums.

I am so curious about these corps as well. OC will not have competed in a single show since July 2. Do any others corps have a schedule like that? For OC, it's at least partly because they need a 2nd long move-in for all-days given that area kids don't get out of university or high school until mid-June.
Let the games begin! Right now I'm debating whether I should pay the $69 to fan network now or wait till the price drops. I know I'm gonna cave...
OC had their send off performance today before heading on tour. Full show was on the field. Initial thoughts were that:
1...Rolling in the Deep is an amazing musical moment in the show. Loved it.
2...The drumline can play. Dont know much about percussion as a horn player turned guard instructor, but they were throwing down.
3...loved the depth they have put in the show versus previous years. Good vehicle to be competitive within their similar experienced World Class corps.
Good luck and safe travels to all the corps out there on the road.

guess we can add Oregon Crusaders to the list for new uniforms. not sure if I got any good pics of it, sorry.

I think 120 is a little on the light side. (Depending on where they are with the holes) Loved the sound of the total ensemble at the standstill. Not a big drummer guy here (was a horn player), but battery and pit both were strong.
Yes, there is a female vocalist for "Going Home". She isnt distracting or over the top where she takes away from the corps.
Cant wait to see them Friday in their first World Class Competition.

I bought my kit and ipod a couple weeks ago. I had a million excuses why not to, but when everyone at work was involved in a team challange on nikeplus, it was the kick in the butt that I needed. It counts distance, time, calories, and really motivates me to do more.
Being a someone who was not big on that whole "working out thing", this has been really fun and I am signing up for the challenge right now. I used to weight 270, got down to 225 and hit a wall. This is helping me push through that spot I have been at for almost a year now and will help me continue to a healthier life. Thank you for taking the time to set this up and I hope more people decide to do it.

I have that poster on my wall. If they hd uniforms to make everyone look like Rooney, I would travel to every show!

And I do not believe that The Academy ever had their sights set on being the next Star. As far as I can tell, they have stood by their mission statement and long range plans to build a successful corps that will continue to flourish in the future.
If people do not like the quarterfinals situation that was created, they need to talk to the directors of the corps they support so that a change can be made. But maybe we should all wait to see what the schedule for Thursday actually is.
There are pro's and con's to their schedule this year. Luckily they will march on the same field with everyone else this coming week and the numbers will fall where they fall. So sit back and enjoy the end to what has been an incredibe season of drum corps!

watched 5 corps practice over the last 2 days...
Quick thoughts:
Phantom...WOW!!!!!! Just WOW!
Blue Stars...Loud! Great contrast within the show musically.
Madison...wish they had another week before finals to tweak things, the show is rockin.
Academy...It's gonna be a fight for 11th and 12th next week. They sound sooooo good.
Off to the stadium!

The triangles showed up much better last night. Possibly because it was darker and also not the Rose Bowl made for TV lighting. Wonder how that will transalte to Lucas Field
