mbarkley
I don't know the Stanford stadium and I'm taking a whole group of drum corps virgins to the show this year. Where do you think is the best row(s) to get seats?
tgk2779
At last year's show in August, I sat in the upper deck near the 30....but honestly, ANYWHERE on the concert side in the new Stanford Stadium is a great seat! After being in hundreds of venues over 40+ years, I would submit that Stanford Stadium may be the greatest drum corps venue EVER!
Wildabeast
Last year, I was about 1/3 from the bottom of the upper deck, very near the prime real estate known as the 50-yard line. This year, I'll be in that same middle section, but in Row B this time. The lower deck of seats is at a minimal incline , where it is significant with the upper deck. The concourse (where the snack bars are located) might be a little cavernous for acoustics. To de-virginize your new drum corps contingent, I'd suggest the upper deck as close to the 50 as possible. My view from last year. The first picture might help in your perspective of what you want them to experience.
