If you are interested in marching drum corps this year, but it is just not feasible for you to be able to do so, whether the reason is financial, employment, or school, The Marion Cadets new Summer Weekend Drum Corps may be for you. We are offering the chance to experience what it’s like to march drum corps, perform in events, and being on the road to all those who are curious as to what drum corps is all about. The Marion Cadets will be returning this season with a weekend drum corps unit. We will be performing Exhibitions at some of the DCI shows and doing parades in Ohio and surrounding states. We will be competing in the half of Open Class DCI tour. This is to bring attraction to the Marion Cadets for rebuilding the upcoming 2009 season, which will possibly include a Winter Drum line, Winter Guard, Jr. & Sr. corps. The Marion Cadets will hold its next rehearsal camp on April 25, 26, and 27th. The camp fees are $35.00 for the entire weekend and will be need to be paid every camp weekend, until our events begin in June. The $50.00 registration fee will be waived. Ages are 13-21 years old. The summer fee is set at $150.00; this will cover all events and rehearsal camps beginning June to August 2008. A tentative schedule will be available soon on our website www.Marioncadets.org so be sure to fill out the member application and medical form and email the Marion Cadets at MC1CADETS@aol.com and confirm that you will be attending our next camp. This Drum Corps unit is for committed people only. You must attend all rehearsal camps to participate in any of the events. We are now accepting applications, and confirmations for the April 25-27th rehearsal camp. If you plan on attending, please be sure to email a confirmation. DO NOT have someone else to email a confirmation for you. We are doing a weekend drum corps for the 2008 season, however, it we are hoping to possibly participate in the DCI Open Class tour with DCI's permission. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
