OdeToArsenal47
With Season XIII approaching quicker and quicker, Cold War Productions, consisting of The Cosmonauts, The Patriots and The Iron Curtain, are proud to make more announcements. The announcements will be split over 3 days. The first day will go to The Cosmonauts, the second to The Patriots, and the third to The Iron Curtain. These corps will announce their membership numbers for the season and their sponsorship announcements. First off, we have several universal sponsorship announcements. For all of the corps recording, publication and music publicity needs, all three Cold War Productions corps are proud to announce their partnership with popular music site Last.Fm! Through Last FM, CWP hopes to get their music out to an audience that may not be so familiar with drum corps, getting their product out to more people. DeMoulin will be providing uniforms for all 3 corps. Uniform designs for this season will remain the same as in the offseason except for The Iron Curtain, who will be sporting new uniforms with their new name. Also, Cold War Productions would like to announce a universal partnership with Under Armour. Under Armour will be providing practice and performance attire. Every corps member will be given 10 pairs of Under Armour Heatgear shorts, a choice of 10 shirts from Under Armour's line of shirts (or sports bras for females), 10 pairs of 2 pairs of Under Armour shoes, a pair of sunglasses, 10 pairs of Under Armour underwear, a cap of their choice, 10 pairs of socks and 3 sets of performance attire to wear underneath the uniform. Each member will be decked out in the best in performance apparel! Also, all CWP corps will be sporting Under Armour HaltSTEP II shoes as their marching shoes in uniform. Under Armour received rave reviews with their first marching shoe and hope to increase their presence in the marching shoe arena with their latest product. With that said, on to The Cosmonauts! *** After a series of audition camps throughout the Southeastern US, The Cosmonauts have come to their audition numbers for Season XIII. Total Members: 150 Drum Majors 1 Executive Drum Major 1 Assistant Drum Major Hornline 85 Total 22 Contrabasses 20 Euphoniums 22 Mellophones 21 Trumpets Battery 21 Total 7 Snares 4 Tenors 5 Basses 5 Cymbals Front Ensemble 20 Total 11 Mallet Players 5 Accessories Players 1 Timpani Player 3 Electronic Accessory Players Color Guard 22 Members, equally versed on flags and rifles As you can see, instrumentation has been altered in the corps. First off, one of the largest hornlines in drum corps got bigger, expanding to 85 members. All Baritone players will play Euphonium, in an effort to get an even stronger low brass presence. The battery expanded, adding 2 snares, a tenors player and 2 cymbals. The front ensemble grew to accommodate for more mallet players. The color guard shrank, in more of an attempt to use the guard as an effective visual additive to the corps and less of a distraction from the overall program. *** The Cosmonauts will be partnering with these providers for the season. For brass instruments: For all drums and drum accessories: For all drumsticks and mallets: For marimbas, vibraphones, bells, chimes, xylaphones, timpanis and toms: For all cymbals: For all electronic equipment: *** Stay tuned! Tomorrow, The Patriots will announce their membership numbers and sponsorships and The Iron Curtain will present uniforms, membership numbers and sponsorships on Saturday. And in December you should expect tour announcements and more! Edited November 20, 2009 by OdeToArsenal47

OdeToArsenal47
*sigh* Life = too busy. AP Classes are the death of me. Anywho, here's my announcements for The Iron Curtain! *** The Iron Curtain is looking to make a splash this season! The corps formerly known as Human Wave Regiment lost about half of the corps to higher tier corps, leaving the corps with a new identity and a tough job of not only surviving a rebuilding year but thriving! The corps held 3 audition camps in Oklahoma and Texas. While the corps wasn't able to reach their target number of 85 members, they are excited to see such youth. The average age of the corps is 16 years old! The locations of TIC's 2 camps were University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma (Corps Headquarters) Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas After these two camps, The Iron Curtain has confirmed their membership for Season XIII with 72 members. But before we get into specifics, we want to show you The Iron Curtain's new uniforms! The uniform was designed to portray the shades of opinion in the Cold War. There were the extremes of black and white, but there were many that mixed in between East and West, choosing to side with no one. The jacket utilizes a very abstract design, to go along with the direction the corps likes to go, design-wise. The staff hopes that this uniform provides a good face for the corps both this season and in the summer season, before they decide to update it. *** This corps packs a punch with sound, being one of the loudest corps under this staff's regime! This group will certainly have to be ready for one of the most demanding shows in this corps' short history! Here are the finalized corps numbers. Total Members: 72 Drum Majors 1 Executive Drum Major 2 Assistant Drum Majors Hornline 32 Total 8 Contrabasses 8 Euphoniums 7 Mellophones 9 Trumpets Battery 16 Total 5 Snare Drums 5 Bass Drums 3 Quads 3 Cymbals Front Ensemble 11 Total 5 Mallet Players 1 Timpani Player 3 Accessory Players 2 Electronic Accessory Players Colorguard 10 Members, equally versed on flags and rifles *** The Iron Curtain will be partnering with these people for Season XIII. For brass instruments: For all drums and drum accessories: For all drumsticks and mallets: For marimbas, vibraphones, bells, chimes, xylaphones, timpanis and toms: For all cymbals: For all electronic equipment: *** And that's all until December, when tours will be announced for the season! See you then!
