Rick R
This should be a blast - lets make Drum Corps strong again in Southern ON - If you ever marched in: Thorold Black Knights Merritton Grenadiers Merritton Buccaneers Port Dalhousie Guardsmen HMCS Renown Hamburg Kingsmen Welland Crowland Lancers Hamilton Conquerer Hamilton Viscounts Hamilton Firefighters Oakville Trafalger Rainbow Raiders Albion Grenadiers Niagara Militaires - Active Alumni Corps - good work as they are getting stronger with each outing - keep the momentum going Grantham Police Boys Band - Active Blog going strong with over 40 members - WOW Grantham is alive & well! Did you know throughout the 60's Grantham guys were one of the driving forces sustaining the Opti power house. You got to be there just to hook up with old friends - talk Drum Corps with your peers - and blow a few notes with Optimists Alumni. We need more active Drum Corps - lets make Southern Ontario strong again - The Alumni Drum Corps movement is the ideal vehicle to achieve this. Rick R
Only 20 days left until the Optimists Open House in Welland. I have been receiving lots of e-mail and the interest level seems high. It's going to be a great Reunion. The Grantham Boys are going strong. Someone just sent me an MP3 recording from the NY Can Championships at Aquinas Stadium from August 1960. Grantham had an awsome horn line that year - and almost toppled Opti, later in the season. Hope to see several former Grantham members. Everyone is welcome. See you in Welland on the 11th of January. It would be a shame if any of you showed up "a day late and an Open House short". Mike Lang
