mellotech
The Glassmen are competing in the Chase Community Giving and need your help and support to vote for them. Their big idea is: The Glassmen provide opportunities that promote and develop life skills and personal enrichment through education, participation, and performance. Never before has this been more pertinent. Sadly, Ohio has seen daunting fiscal challenges that have weighed heavily on public schools and on the performing arts specifically. Despite studies illustrating that involvement in the arts is a predictor of academic success; programs continue to be eliminated. The establishment of the ENTERTRAINMENT Learning Center (ELC) is a response to the challenges facing the arts. The ELC will strive to fill the expanding void in performing arts opportunities. In addition to the continued support of local performing groups, new initiatives such as community music and dance programs, individual and group lessons, and expanded opportunities for local educators will be the hallmarks of the center. The arts make a difference, and the ELC will be a positive opportunity for the youth of our region Please go to: Glassmen and Chase Community Giving and THANK YOU! FHdork
Even if this was not a great idea...and it IS a great idea...Facebook users should confidently vote for all the corps, and DCI, to receive this money. It just seems a no-brainer to me... And ask your entire 'friend' list to forward to their friend list, etc. Drum corps, despite all of our wailings here, is a unique activity, one that offers advantages not found in ANY other youth activity anywhere...
