DeCellR8
With great anticipation to this season, both corps have finally decided to release show information. We as an organization have kept quiet throughout the off-season but with the season right around the corner, we know many of you have wondered what the corps will be doing. With that being said, here are the official announcements and numbers for the two corps (we had to drop our Open Class corps due to financial constraints). The big corps, Minnesota Madness, will be peforming all original music with the show title called Pirates of Lake Minnetonka. Yes, it will be based off the theme of Madison 97 and the music from Pirates of the Caribbean. This show will be in your face intense style with visual demands we hope that will help take the activity to the next level. The powerful hornline coupled with the precision of the drumline and the beauty of the guard will make this show a crowd favorite all summer long. The corps is aching to get back into the top 12 after hovering near that coveted 12th spot the past few years. As the corps director stated, "Our goal is provide the best tour experience while entertaing DCPI fans across this great land while striving to be the best drum corps out there. Finals is something this corps should be making year in and out and this year is going to be no exception." 26 trumpets 16 mellos 26 euhps 18 tubas 9 snares 5 quads 5 basses 6 cymbals 12 pit 25 guard 2 DM's The corps will be fielding a full 150 members to get the maximum out of this show. So we hope you enjoy this program as the kids have been hard at work all off-season long. With the weather being the way it has been, the corps has only gotten the opening tune on the field with everyday's just starting up. The Minnesota VanScouts are pleased to announce the show design Planet Earth. This is taking the wonderful music and arrangements from the hit DVD Series by BBC and brought to life on the field. This show will be breath taking and will blow your minds with all aspects of the show. The warm, dark sounds provided by the brass and the pagentry displayed by the guard while the percussion throws down clean beats. This will be a show you will never forget and be humming as you leave the stadium each night. 20 trumpets 12 mellos 20 euphs 12 tubas 8 snares 5 quads 5 basses 4 cymbals 12 pit 28 guard 2 DM's The corps has been hard at work and like the big brother corps, only has the opener on the field due to weather here in God's country (Minnesota). Everyday's will soon be here and this corps will be ready to take the field for their first show of the season. The 128 members are excited to hit the road and maintain finals status. The goals of the corps and the excitement the kids are bringing is shaping up to be a top 5 contender. Only time will tell so sit back and enjoy the majestic sounds from Planet Earth.
