Robin623
hey, These days how many cymbals do you need to use to play gigs. It may sound stupid but when you move your kit a lot, there is no point taking 20 cymbals when you only need 5. How small of a set of cymbals do you need? Hi-hats, crash, ride.........is that it? Share your thoughts on what you think are the basics in cymbal setup these days. Also how do you setup your cymbals? Cheers Edited October 1, 2012 by Robin623
doylejd
I use six cymbals: a set of hats, two crashes, a ride, a bell and a china The trick is that I only use four stands, I mount the bell upside down over one of the crashes and have a boom arm off of my other crash for the china. This has been sufficient for just about every pop, rock, and jazz gig that I have played.
