Chops seeks Program Coordinator for 2014 & 2015 seasons

Recommended Posts

Chops, Inc. is hiring a Program Coordinator for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. We are an established 501©3 all-age drum & bugle corps organization based in the Twin Cities, with over twenty years of performance and entertainment on parade routes. We have a reputation among parade organizers as a crowd-pleaser with fun music and crowd interaction. From 1999 until 2008, we also had a competitive field show program in the DCM Senior Division and DCA Class A Division, combining popular music, quality performance, and a little bit of humor. A crowd favorite, we picked up such honors as best drum major (DCM 1999), Midwest Championship Finalist (DCI-C 2004), Class A Champion (DCA 2005), Class A High Percussion (DCA 2006), and Class A Finalist (2008).

We are looking for a motivated music educator and drum corps enthusiast who can take our parade program to the next level, retaining our status as a highly-desired marching entertainment group, as well as help restart our field program. We offer a dedicated administrative team, good quality instruments and equipment, and members and alumni eager to take those next steps on the street and on the field. This is a 2-year contract, with the potential for extensions. We wish to return to regional competition, and we need an effective, proven leader to achieve this goal.
