N.Y. Skyliners Percussion Members Perform at New York City Center

Recommended Posts

We are speaking to the people we need to about getting video, pix, etc. We do have the program, and some back stage photos (!) of the Skyliners with some of the stars and performers who participated.

While I am gathering information, stories, feedback, I can say that this has overwhelmingly been an amazing experience for our members. More to come!

WOW!

Below are some of the first official pictures that we have gotten from the Production Company for the "Bring the Boys Back" number that members of the N. Y. Skyliners percussion line (and a couple of brass members) performed on January 30th at THE PUBLIC SINGS: A 50th Anniversary Celebration" extravaganza in New York City.

Photo Credit for these beautiful, professional photographs: Michal Daniel (this is the way they spelled it.) (I did reduce these slightly so they open more easily on DCP.)

The featured star/singer in this song is Tony Winner Chuck Cooper. Our members really enjoyed performing with him. He was so nice to our members, and is very humble but extremely talented. Mr. Cooper was seemingly very impressed with the corp (well, drum line). Working with such professional people helped make this experience that much more exciting and fun.

There are more pictures to come, but we wanted to share these ASAP.

Sincerely,

Doreen Sandor
