  1. Actually it's both. My wife is the most incredible woman I have ever met. And she is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. However Drum Corps is also the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. So I would be willing to do Ballroom dance with my lovely wife. However I would also do ballroom dance if it meant that I can march Drum Corps. Boy that sounded weird did'nt it? (EVAN don't even think about a weird comment) :P . Anyway back to the Brigs . I don't care what the weather is this corp is on a mission and you can see it in the work ethic of the corps while at camp. So if you are a contra player and want to be a part of something special then be at the Brigs camp this weekend.
  2. Good Evening Fellow Brigs. I finally have time to post on DCP. Well the drive back was great....that is with the exception of the Blizzard in Cleveland. THANKS EVAN FOR THE BLIZZARD lol. When I came back on Monday my Beautiful Wife let me know that if I was marching Drum Corps then I would have to take Ballroom Dance lessons. And today was the first lesson. I just want to let you guys know how much I love drum corps. Who out there would take Ballroom dance just so they could march drum corps? (color guard do not answer that question) Don and I are practicing hard. The Mighty Brigs Euph section will be noticed this year so look out DCA.
  3. Well it's now thursday in Columbus,Ohio and it is raining like crazy <**> . And from what I see this rain is heading to Syracuse. I have prayed to the Drum Corps Gods to make a huge anti-rain dome around the Syracuse area. Then again who cares if it rains or not. Be at camp this weekend. Wildwood will be here before we know it. :) . Lets show the world that this year will be a year for the Brigs that will go down in Drum Corps history as the best ever
  4. Yeah Dave it's Columbus,Ohio not Dayton,Ohio. Big difference....lol :) . How is everybody today my chops are toast from practicing. I hope everybody elses chops are toast from practicing ^0^ :P .
  5. Wayne,Gino, andTommy are all doing a little work with the Brigadiers this year. Yes I know this is a junior corps argument.....however I can honestly say we have an incredible Brass Staff this year.
  6. The Euphoniums are coming out. This Corps is going to have a sound like no other. Welcome to the Euph group Don. b**bs . Boy we are not going to have much room in the car....but oh well we will manage. b**bs .
  7. Hey Oliver loved the pics on the Starriders website. Let the people know that the Euphoniums are here to stay and PLAY LOUD with quality. I can't wait to see the drill book I hope it's fast...with lots of movement. This is going to be a year to remember. :)
  8. Of course not my ancestors are of Norman descent and the earliest record I could dig up put them in Northern England or Southern Scotland. However I am quite sure they would have been musically inclined and LOVE GALAXY CHOCOLATE b**bs . Brigs I hope all is going well, keep practicing and working hard. Lets make this a season for the history books.
  9. A corps with almost all Brits :) .....THE RED COATS ARE COMING, THE RED COATS ARE COMING ...LOL
  10. Shawn I also want to thank you for the props. The Bari (and now Euphonium section) is really focused. I could see it at camp. Genevieve is awesome, you can tell she really cares about how we play and her commitment to excellence is rubbing off on the Bari and Euph section. I am more worried about her beating us with a Hickory Stick :P . (Sorry Pete, Genevieve is tougher) :P I can feel it, this is going to be a special year for the Brigs. Everybody Let's keep our focus and intensity up, all the way to the DCA Finals.
  11. In 3 weeks when we are on the field the lower brass section will be kicking###. Come on Bari's,Euphs, and Contras. Lets show them we have some HUGE CHESTNUTS...lol b**bs ^0^
  12. This camp was FREAKING AWESOME b**bs . And the new Euphonium line(which I am a member of was rocking). Oliver, and Bill kicked ### on the Euphs also. This Brigs hornline is incredible. Also rubbing cold Aloe Vera on my sunburned neck made me scream....lol. Can't wait for the rest of me to get sunburned at the next camp :). This is going to be a special year for the Brigs. So if you still want to march then come to the next camp in 2 weeks b**bs
  13. I just checked the weather for Syracuse. And Saturday it's suppose to be 60 degrees and SUNNY b**bs . And Sunday it's suppose to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy :) . It looks like there is going to be NO RAIN b**bs. Is it too early to get excited about the strong possibility of practicing outside?
  14. I recieved my DVD from the 85 DCI finals when I marched. Unfortunately 20 years later I have to admit that the Garfield Cadets did have the best <**> show that year. I watched Star and of course saw Sara marching her### off in the beginning (nice close up). That was a good year, Suncoast Sound and "the lick". Velvet Knights in there Chuck Taylors and the Freelancers with there changing color uniforms. (I mean colour...sorry Damon :P ). Watching that trip down memory lane and listening to my daughter say "wow you were so skinny back then" is making me go CRAZY . Everybody be at camp this weekend. The B.O.G. group wil be there.
  15. Damon why did you have to put the "chocolate" word on your post. My wife read it, and quickly let me know that if you did not bring her just a little Galaxy chocolate then every bone in my body will be turned to powder. :o just kidding. To all of those University of Illinois alumni in the corps...sorry about the loss. I live in Big 10 country and I was cheering for the Illini. I talked to Peter and Evan last night and the B.O.G group is now too big for my minivan. And trust me it's a great problemt to have. Be at the April camp this corps is going to be friggin incredible.
  16. I said between 30 to 75 that is not fair. ...LOL
  17. I say between 30 to 75 :P Now if I'm correct you owe me a coke. (I don't drink) Gerald
  18. I'm a Cubs fan.....very few people know my pain :( Well the Red Sox did until last year
  19. First of all does anybody have a Euphonium mouthpiece that I can borrow. Peter asked me if I would possibly switch to Euphonium, I told him I would (what was I thinking ...lol). I need to borrow a Euph mouthpiece, I don't want to go out and buy one and find out later that the Euph is not for me. Also Sara I told my wife what happened to you and she wants to know if you need anything...like clothes.....furniture....whatever? I don't know how I would get furniture to you in New York when I am here in Ohio. But if there is a way I will do it. Please let me know. If my momma found out that I did not help out a fellow Hoosier.....lets just say Thanksgiving dinner would not be fun. I would never be allowed back in Muncie, Indiana again.
  20. Sara I hope you are o.k.. I don't doubt your toughness...heck your a Hoosier - ^OO^ . That alone makes you tough. I hope to see you at camp, I will be bringing my laptop with the 85 DCI finals so you and I can watch you when you marched with STAR. Your in my prayers Sara  Gerald
  21. We should take him up on this offer. Look at how popular the Avatars have been. If Don does all of this we will have the most popular gear in DCA. b**bs
  22. Dave I have someone who wants to play Euphonium. He said that he will only play Euphonium. Do we have any Euphoniums? Plus he wants to know if we do, what size of a mouthpiece does he have to buy?
  23. Hey Dave what spots do we have available and where in the corps?
  24. When was the last time Don posted anything on this board. He is probably too busy making these Awesome New Avatars ^OO^ for everybody on DCP....lol. All Hail Don the AVATAR KING
  25. I just saw our summer competition schedule and it looks like we are not going to North Carolina this year, instead we are going to do Endicott. I also looks like we are not going to be doing DCI this year like we were hoping. Or has that changed Dave?
