edge doesn't do it for me (Cadets)
I'm going with Cavies (I don't see how they didn't win brass)

This was posted a week or so ago. The "Favorite Drill Moves" video is very cool! That was the first time I've ever seen the Star 93 (right?) double-cross move
91 91 91 91!!!! not 93.
It's ok this time, but next time it off with your head!! B)

i was actually going to say that, but i thought i'd be alone in that opinion.
You'd be suprised. There was a thread a while back about your personal favorite show, and when I put BD 2000 down, it was like they all came out of the woodwork with the same opinion. They didn't think anybody else liked it. I just wish that it wouldn't have been so dirty finals night so that it could've won. Personally, I think that show had the best thematic presentation and performance. But man, that low brass is what makes the show.

while BD 2000 is my ideal hornline, star 90-93 had it figured out ahead of most for its time...

BD 2000
end of thread.

2004 Blue Devils during the drum feature the tempo reached near 260bpm for a short while.
Otherwise, for sustained tempos the top corps usually do stuff at over 200 at some point in their shows.
I think it was supposed to in theory, but I highly doubt it actually did. Props for trying, though.

Connor, I didn't know you played snare!

this shouldn't even be discussed.
I'm sorry for any Star FMM's reading this...
-
delaying the shows a year only would've delayed the outrage about them for a year.

I think I like the original on Bjork's album the most.
YES! YES! YES!

Sorry, but I just got the '96 Legacy DVD, and I noticed a motif from Star's "Medea" closer in BD's '96 show. Am I hearing things? Anybody who knows for sure, please respond. :)
Oh yeah, and I know the rest of BD's closer is from the MI soundtrack by Danny Elfman, "Trouble."
You mean the backfield stuff? Kind of like a slowed down version of the medea lick?
That parts also the beginning of Crown's 2002 show.

Yes,I am blaming DCI.
People ,organizations etc need to take responsibility;
something very much lacking in today's socirty.
We need look no furtherf than the mlb sterioud case.
Anyway,it is now a CD I can no longer give as a gift to others.
I especially cannot give it to a friend's family who attended their 1st show at Gillette.

My vote is for 1981.
In 1981 There were more competing drum corps and more
attendees at finals than any other year in history.
I thought 2004 broke the finals attendance record?

The only grain of truth I can detect in the original post, based upon what I've heard over the years from people associated with one corps or the other, is that if you auditioned for one corps and they counldn't use you, but the other corps still had openings for your instrument, you would be pointed in that direction.
Well yes, and that's also true amongst corps outside of YEA! aswell.

C'mon george, close this. This is like the 15th reincarnation of the same thread.

But anyway, the version on the actual Bjork CD is WAY WAY better than this one that's linked...

I believe that there is a Search feature on these forums, and you should better acquaint yourself with it. Now obviously if this topic was seldomly raised, I wouldn't care, but we get this very often and it gets quite annoying. It usually leads to rumors and so-on, and we all know how much we love rumors. Anyway, lesson learned. Move along.
