  1. Well here is your problem for part 2:

    www.crusaders.com

Thanks. I tried www.bostoncrusaders.com because when clicking on the links to buy the tickets it takes you to https://bostoncrusaders.com/catalog/product...fb78bbc06f7aec1

I just tried going through the links again and it didn't give me the security certificate warning this time with the recommendation not to proceed. I did however get a little popup that tells me there are secure and nonsecure items on the page though. I never order anything online if I get those warnings otherwise I would buy a ticket. Good luck on the promotion though.

  2. If traveling far to finals, personally I would only buy the best seats and not go if not sitting somewhere near the middle. A couple of years ago we traveled way down to San Antonio to see our first regionals and had tickets near the 20 yrd line I think. I left feeling like I didn't even see the corps and wasn't even there.

We had great seats for three days in Pasadena though! That is until the 10 foot tall guy sat right in front of me. :worthy: That totally sucked but my nice friend who took me traded seats with me. :worthy: Thank you Neil!

  3. [snip]

Did they have to do that? No, but it was something they did, and I'll always remember it.

My wife was a volunteer for the Cavaliers for several seasons. I've heard nothing but great things about the organization and it's members from her...and she's a Regiment alum!

Case in point. She was traveling with the Cavaliers in 1996. When Regiment tied with Blue Devils for the championship, they told her, "Go be with your corps." She protested, saying she was on staff there. They insisted. "No, that's your corps. You need to be there."

    [snip]

Hmmm, there are two sided to every story. That story only makes we wonder how annoying she was for some reason so much that some there evidently wanted to get rid of her. No dis on her Crunchy but your post sounded like sour grapes.

  4. This might also be helpful to people wanting Rose Bowl info.

SeatAdvisor.com gives you a map of the stadium and then when you click on the section it gives you options of a photo view from that section (not a particular seat) as well as a photo of the kind of seat you'll be sitting in!

    Seat Advisor search page

Go to the lower part of the SEARCH section and search by venue name. Then click on your section - On this page in the area of the upper left side there are a few buttons to choose from. "your view" shows the field from your section "seat photo" !! shows you the kind of seat you'll be sitting in!

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. I still couldn't find any detailed seating chart. I'm trying to find out what yard line Section 18, Row 49, Seats 5 & 6 are on. If you look at http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/seating.htm in the upper left corner insert map it shows the seat numbers start from the left when you are looking up at the section. However that doesn't mean the seat numbers always start from the left, they sometimes could start from the right when you are on the opposite side of the stadium (i.e. seat 1 is always closer to the end zone). Can anyone help?

This matters because Seats 5&6 could either be right off the 50 or on the 35, depending on which direction the seating goes. Help!

  5. The Sword Sorceress put a spell upon me at the Pittsburg KS show. The marbled crimson & black guard unis were very nice. Lovely guard work.

I love the dark side too. Last year at a h.s. band marching competition I was sitting in front of some band directors and was chatting with them off and on during the shows. After one band did a really minimalistic show one director said "No one is going to go out humming that." I had to tell him, "I love shows like that. That is what I go out humming."

  6. This is my biggest pet peeve with DCI tickets. Fans want to know what yardline they are on...plain and simple!!! Most seating charts just have a 50 yardline for reference, PLEASE include another yard line for reference, like uhmm.....how about the endzone?...PLEASE!!!

Side note: when I called DCI to order my super 3 tickets last year the girl said something to the effect of "we don't know what yardline the tickets are on, that is up to you to find out from the venue". WTF, she must have been having a bad day.

As far as the rose bowl question, I had the same problem trying to figure out where tickets were. And, seeing that I had to sell my super 3 tickets on ebay for half price two weeks ago, I'm waiting till next August to by 07 tics....for half price hopefully.

JonnyBoy, the yardlines CAN be figured out if you compare the two maps (it takes some work but can be done). It is frustrating, I agree with you there. You would think that people who are buying expensive tickets AND planning an expensive trip could be provided some decent seating charts. Now how hard could that be? Hello DCI?!?!??!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we can't figure out is the "rows" up/down. Can anyone help? What rows #'s are the upper and lower section of the red?

Help! Thx if anyone can help,

    John

  7. Does anyone know the row numbers of the top and bottom sections of the red sections on this seating chart: http://pasadena07.dci.org/super3/. A friend of mine is planning on ordering tickets in the morning and we can't figure it out comparing it even to the little insert map in the top left corner of http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/seating.htm

Thank you for any help! Tickets go on sale online in the morning so we are just poor souls trying to get good seats :-)

  8. Back in the day when my FDCI (Fantasy DCI) Div I "Queen Mutha" won FDCI-2 we did "Heaven's Gate", complete with the colorguard drinking koolaid before laying down under purple blankets. I don't remember the music we had or how I pulled off the comet at the end that made the corp disappear. I as corp director was inspired by SCV magic at the time since I then lived there.

    In case one doesn't think I serious b**bs http://www.drumcorpswiki.com/index.php/FDCI

My FDCI champs in Div II (Heirs Apparent) and Div III (Diaper Babies) had some cool show concepts too! :P

  9. Here's a question- what do YOU think an executive assistant does??? Sheesh! That's what assistants are paid to do! They support the manager with their day to day administrative tasks- ...

Amen. The job requirements of an exec admin are quite ill defined. The better exec admins are HARD to find, and the BEST ones are THE BEST. It's all a personal balance between a very competent exec admin and what he/she wants to devote a period of his/her life towards. I would say that "The Cadets" would be a worthy calling and life changing! To whoever takes on the challenge I say, "Hold on for the ride of your life! It will be good!"
