PR has picked up 5.2 points in 10 days! (Cadets have picked up 4.2, Cavaliers have picked up 3.1, Scouts have picked up 2.1, BD has picked up 1.875) Of course, it's not head-to-head, so it's not scientific, but it's sure a great sign! Keep it up! Go Regiment!!!

I hear ya! I marched 80-87 and I'm regularly reminded that many of the kids marching now weren't even BORN yet when I was marching! UGH!

Yes - It was the local health department that finally (after a couple days) trace it to the improper (not quick enough) cooling of the spaghetti sauce (with meat) after it was prepared in the morning. It was re-heated for serving that night.

Yes - it was '86 and it was in Stillwater, MN. And it wasn't a problem with water, it was bad spaghetti sauce. And yes, I can say that with 100% certainty. '86 was one of the 7 years I marched with PR. Fortunately, I didn't get sick that night - I was one of many of us who walked over to a nearby Hardees for dinner. But the people who ate the spaghetti were unbelievably miserable - many of them had to go to the hospital. I watched members puking their guts out and fainting all over the place during warm-up before the show and a couple base drums even passed out and fell over with their drums on. I would not wish that on anyone. I feel for the Mandarins and wish them all the best.
