I don't drink either, and it's probably $15, but we're on!!!
Go Cynthia!

Next year they should do Chartreuse. That would definitely be a step up.

I don’t get the two girls posing on the stairs during the closer.
They start posing during the little New World Symphony ditty. Dvorak wrote some of it living in Iowa. I think they represent his New and Old worlds. His homes. I’m sticking with that interpretation no matter what anyone says.

Had to look this up. Really really cool. Why was it controversial though?
The soft open, minimalist horns, body movement/dancing (gasp!), CG unis or lack of, poles not flags.

That's great that Jim handled your criticism in that way, but if you reached out to him with those comments questioning his team's level of design and inhibiting competitive success, how many other alumni were doing the same thing? That's kind of the point.
The book "A Complaint is a Gift" introduced the revolutionary notion that customer complaints are not annoyances to be dodged, denied or buried, but are instead valuable pieces of feedback that can be used to improve an organization's products and services.

I remember in '97 on rec.arts.marching.drumcorps people were suggesting that Madison shouldn't have the drunken sailor section since it was a youth activity.

Madison just finished quite strong and got as good an ovation as anyone before them.

Any updates at all for this show?
Phantom just finished. They were quite good. Excellence on display from several units. Weather is perfect. The horns are loud from the 18th row. My 12 year olds first trip to Whitewater. She beats me as I was 15.

Is there a thread for the July 1 Madison Drums on Parade show? I was surprised I could not find one.
It wasn’t on Flo.
-
Was the repertoire shown on Flo correct for Cavies? I’ve watched them 3 times and haven’t heard Tiger Rag or Sing Sing Sing.

Loved Crown’s french horn

Not usually a Cavie fan but Cavaliers will be one of my favorites this year. So many old fart references. 🙂.
-
Will do. Did you march Phantom? Were we on the field together? (79-81).

Just looked that way being in the top 3. Many were pretty scrawny out of the uniforms.
