i use finale 2006 with GPO (for finale) ... there is no tenors and bassline ... i can just use the default softsynth ... the problem is , i cann't hear the final ensemble at all ~.~"

i have GPO for finale and east west ... all worst, even there is no quint and bassline ... can anyone suggest some VST for written battery in finale? (VDL2 ... yes i do know, thx any other?)

can anyone show me some notation of the pit music? i'm trying to writing the pit. but i got a problem on "get the sound or fit the notation". e.g. cymbal rolling ... should be on which line in general. i got different sounds between using finale GPO & East West, even the default softsynth. can anyone show a full notation explaination on pit accessories, snare, quint/quad, bassdrum ... most difficult on accessories ... million thx

it's nothing wrong with finale on pdf file ... if you want to output as pdf, you should have adobe acrobat. (or some other engine.) if you do have acrobat, you can output the music score by: print > choose printer "adobe acrobat PDF" then it will convect the score into pdf file and open in acrobat. i did so since 2003a

WOOL ... i think it wouldn't comfortable for us ... marching under 30C and 85% humid ... i never wear wool uniform ... so, will it comfort for our area?

i've no idea about the materials of a drum-style uniform ... here, far east ... i consider most on the hot and wet weather << trouble ... so what's the materials for the uniform and the bibber you wore.

i found this clip last night ... Blue Devils lip slurs ... brilliant!!! here's some questions to me ... 1. they play "4 fingers" set of harmonic tone (0, 2, 1, 1+2) ... i know nothing on bass, did they play the same note like Bb trumpet? (written C, B, Bb, A) how about mello? play their "4 fingers" or transposed? if everyone play their own "4 fingers", how about the tone? sounds in different outcome ... 2. on the clip, at 01:14 ... that lower sounds ... is it the padel (1+2+3) for all horns? or (1+2+3) + the lower-est you can reach? what's the purpose? lip relaxation? thx for helping me~

thx for reply 3C ... even my teacher told me to shift to 1C in the future but i found difficult for those high note with a larger mouthpiece~ and my most concern ... endurance ~.~" I always think of a shallow mouthpiece for "easy" high note (i never reach high F liked you :( ) of coz, my teacher said wrong, a good player can play high note with 1C too ... I was learning from Yamaha 11B4 mp on trumpet Now, i have shift to bach 7C, pretty great~ but someone told me that i should go for 1C in future ... no doubt, sounds go much more soft ... esp the lower pitch, concert voiced but i can't play too much high notes(not very high ... about high C only) / keep practise too long with 7C ... i feel 11B4 is last longer than bach 7C to me ... 7C : 1-2hr > rest > 1hr ... done .... :( also, i play mellophone with Yamaha 14F4 ... same feeling, poor on low pitch, very bright & thin on high note ... what mouthpiece you guys used for indoor &/ outdoor with your instrument? I want to buy a suitable tp mp for my own ... and recommend a suitable mp for all members ... by the way, what sounds is suitable (for music & also the player) for a corp? smooth and soft concert voice is great but ... good for the player?

finale 2006 (it can open all version of .MUS, right?) thx for the precious lesson on the history of G bugle. when i first knew about DCI, as i remembered, it called Drum and Bugle Corp :) understund~ i've just transposed a C Tuning and Bb Tuning ... which one is much common on corps today? i will translate such a good sources and share to my band-mate :)

I've found the following F-tuning note today ... want to make my own one by finale ... but i dun understand some of the pitch name ... e.g. Sop L---F-C-C-D-F-F F4 - C5 - C5 -C5 -D4 - F4 - F5 ??? <<< i'm not sure ... moreover, i've compare it with the mp3 of Blue Devils f-tuning on 1999 seems a bit different ... can anyone help?
