Trashbag for the backpack and a poncho for myself.
I didn't even think about the trashbag for my backpack.
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies and for future replies. Im just trying to figure out if I want to waste room in my bags this summer... I know its not really a waste but I dont know if I'll wear one.

So, I'm just wondering what most marchers did in the event that it rained?
Well I tried to make a poll, oh well, Im dumb
A raincoat/poncho?
Normal tour clothes?
Shirtless?
Other.

The fireworks and all of that jazz seem cool, but it just sucks that this show has the least amount of corps out of all of the California shows!
Maybe that's cause of the apparent firework show? I'm sure there are people going to be there just to watch the fireworks, not to hear some band play.
ps- I know it's not a band, but to outsiders it's all the same thing.

Then there was the year the corps had food poisioning finals week....
What? I wanna hear about this

Unless it was '82 when the rebels 'bought it' from the Roman legions.
Yes. I think it started with Phantom's '82 Spartacus show
-
Maybe after you do your initial survey you could wait a few days and than ask what they can remember about each show.
Just looking forward to seeing some results!

I agree

Great....cant wait to spend that much money
Whatever, it must be done. Too bad this will be my only year marching.

How about having two buses instead of four but doing those double-decker thingy's...two levels of seating. Kind of cool. Then have one truck for all of the luggage. Smaller loading crew, too. Major pain if someone has to get something off the truck, though! Yikes!!
I don't know if that would cut down on petroleum usage, though, since I don't know what mileage the 2-story buses get versus the one's with loaded bottoms. Don't know how safe they are, either, without that bottom weight and top-loading with all those sleeping bodies. Interesting concept to ponder, though.
I know people here have been talking about those double decker buses. BUT, there is one big problem about using them. Bridges! If you could find a way to not have to go under any bridges/overpasses than I'm all for it. It just doesn't seem realistic...

'cause i said it first?
My bad

No worries, I don't have a problem with getting called out if I'm wrong. Of course, now I'm curious.
Edit: Just checked the '07 member list, and you're right - 6 baritones are listed.
<---puts a W in the column for himselfCome on chaos, how you gonna go and steal my victory away from me.

juice = know it all
You have to be like that, dont you?
-
Well, if that's true - then you got me. I fully admit that I've been a bit out of touch since 05 (law school saps all my time and money).
I definitely didn't mean to come off as mean in my response as I probably did. Sorry for that!
But, yeah I'm almost positive they had a bari line last year
-
Regiment has had a 23-24 person all euph line since 03.
Other than the ones the trumpets played in 06, there hasn't been a baritone there since early move-ins in 03.
wrong! they had a small bari line last year. 6 members i think
-
If that's true, I'll be very disappointed. The guard is the last section that needs an increase in numbers. More than 32 on the field just looks like, well...... too many. Unless they're going to swap them in and out so they're not all on the field at the same time.
But we'll see for sure on June 8th at the dress Rehearsal..... less than 5 weeks away!
You cant be too quick to judge what it will look like. Plus, its far cheaper to add guard to the field than brass and percussion. And, their equipment takes up less space.

Quiet?

Dont ask, dont tell

This topic is getting so out of control. I think some people need to stop posting on DCP and get back in a practice room! ;)
I already practiced for over 2 hours today thank you!

I think we'll know a LOT more around the last week of June in Madison when a bunch of corps get together.... Fun stuff.
I dont think we'll know anything at the end of June. Remember last year Crown and Bluecoats were leading the pack. I think we'll have to wait till the middle or end of July to even start guessing where the corps will place.

96 horns
30 drummers
so only 20 or so guard? ok......
-
Kinda hoping Crown beats PR to see what would happen on DCP.
Didn't they do this during the '07 season? (I know not at finals)
Kinda hoping Crown drops down to 8th this season...
That last statement was a JOKE!

I'd kinda like to see this.
I got to see the faces of members of the other corps. THAT was a treat (not disrespecting anyone here). I cant imagine the looks on our staff when scores were announced.
