There are a lot of individual performer errors in this Boston show tonight. That said, it's really on another level design-wise compared to the corps before them (except Blue Stars). If they can clean it, they can move past a few big names.
Explain yourself please. I don't see it going any further than it will tonight

The activity is alive and well. I have been on the road with Crown for 8 days. I haven't seen one stadium that wasn't full yet. Endzone to endzone. The audiences are interested and this old guy loves this activity more than ever

What a surprise. A very small group of Crown haters already predicting the demise of Crown.
This isn't a sprint, it's a marathon folks. Lot's more to come

I love the way people are STILL basing their certain final expectation on only the most recent show, now matter how many more most recent shows already contradict the previous certain final expectation.
Quote of the summer!!! Well done!

im on the side right in front of the cymbal player not in time. Not the only one that heard it.
No, I mean I was standing in front of it. Literally
-
As of now.
1)Blue Devils
2)blucoats
3) crown
4) stars
Alot of bad attacks in crowns mini pits on cymbals and concert bass.
Not for where I was standing and I was in front of the pit.

This is one of the strangest panels and set of scores I have seen in a while. Where do I start?

Coats stacked up pretty well tonight on the sheet matched up with BD. This will be an interesting run for the title between four teams I believe.

Bravo BLOO. I have been a fan and friend of this corps since way back when. You have a fabulous show this summer.
-
There are arguments on both sides of this one. I think it boils down to the individual and where their heart is. If you have the talent to march 3-4 top 6 corps and that is what you desire, then you should do it. The activity benefits from your talents at several destinations.
There is something large to be said about loyalty though. Crown is where I marched and who I love. I love the organization, it's people and it's vision for young people. I am a better person for having marched there and knowing and loving my extended family.
I do challenge each to find a home though after age out. Every corps needs you!
Either way, a win/win for drum corps

I tried to contact them but I got bounced.
No question there is ZERO truth to this statement. This staff, this organization would certainly not simply "bounce" a concern brought up from anyone.
This being said, and my feeling about this goes for all of the teams out there. Let's leave design opportunities or concerns to the staffs who have been living, eating and breathing the show and concept, well since August of the previous season or longer. We as fans can postulate with each other what would be better but is nonsense to think we should tell a given staff how to do something
-
I added bloo in the mix and left them off by accident
-
I honestly believe Crown, BD & Cadets and Bloo are a cut above the rest of the teams, and these four fabulous shows will kick it into high gear and there is no way we will know a clear winner until very close to Finals. What you have are four outstanding shows, wonderfully, uniquely designed and performed at such a high degree of energy and execution that they will all trade spots often. All four shows are already championship worthy.
No dig on the rest of the teams out there but these four are trully amazing.

What bothers DCP doesn't necessarily come in to play with judges.
If the design team hears about transition pacing in critique or on a tape, then there perhaps there will be changes. But if the adjudicators are buying the explanation the corps is selling, you won't see changes.
But you can't always assume that what irritates DCP users always bothers the judging community.
What he said!!

THis to me is the most interesting show to date. Crown had two days of cleaning and changes for the maroon and bloo teams. Should be a wild ride tonight

#eastcoastinflation ?
LMAO! Darn... You got to it first! Too funny!

what defines the second tier?
seems like last season there are tiers, groups. A gulf of separation between groups of corps at different performance/execution levels at this point. Last summer, you could see a clear separation of execution/ quality from corps 1-3, 4-6, 7-8, and 10-12. Tonight, there was a distinct separation from Crown to Phantom. Of course the corps in these groups change often early in the season
-
so people were putting PR in 9th and they are only 3 points behind Crown that people put in first. They clean that drumline and they can be up in the top and shock alot of people. Would have been great to hear them without echo.
Phantom is a second tier corps at this moment (4-6) range. Certainly not a ninth place corps. That's nutts

If you don't like it, you don't like it. No reason to suit up. JMO

A center of pitch was absent for the majority of the Green Machines's show. Poor attacks and relieases too. Show concept is strong. This show has much potential. Keep working!
Once again, Troopers horns were better in my opinion

1) Crown - Goes without saying
2) Blooo! - Big time show
3) Troopers - Hard work makes this show a top 12 delight

1985 Suncoast Sound - Florida Suite
Great indoctrination show!
-
Phantom beat Crown in percussion?
There was clearly a struggle with numbers management tonight with this judge
-
This Crown Honk would like to say thank you to all th teams for what they bring to the field this summer. However, special hat off for tonights performance by the members of the 2014 Bluecoats. I dig what you are doing. Great show. Bravo!

I agree that the product is a step up, the execution hasn't been all summer. I think they stay in that general area
