  1. Ohhh k, I think this has gone on long enough. Any hopes of using DCP as a recruiting tool are now pointless what with how the thread has turned out. Sorry to close down the topic for those of you who thrive off rumour, but I don't see how any of these posts help our corps gain membership. I had more faith in the posters of DCP than I ought, but we all learn about that one way or another. With this post, the Spartans will characteristically return to the shadows as expected. Best of fortune to you and your corps...we all need it. post scriptum - If someone didn't catch that, I'd like a mod to lock the topic, thanks
  2. A big "thank you" to those supporting the corps! You are right in knowing that we haven't used DCP in the past. Our members will continue to remain out of sight seeing as we still enjoy a sense of mystery . As acting herald of the organization, however, I'd have to be insanus Lancus not to suggest using DCP as a recruiting tool. Things are looking pretty good for the corps, simply it's pretty clear that when your main source of membership is lost, it's necessary to look elsewhere such as new schools, states, and even cyberspace. DCP reaches far and wide and it's a great way to both address and reach out to the Drum Corps Community. Call me inexperienced if you wish, but I know enough to do all I can to see the corps succeed. 3. DCPers, As Staff Coordinator of the Spartans, let me tell you that there's some great educating going on across the board by this year's instructional staff. We are a very enthusiastic group thrilled to be given this teaching opportunity. Many of you know that former Spartans have followed their staff members (my mentors) to the Citations, to whom I wish my best. My close friends grew up marching the corps and it's great to see they'll be more competitive for 2008! On the other hand, the defending champions from NH have fewer members on account of this exodus. By the way, be careful what you read because our Open House attracted 97 attendees (30 less than other post-championship years) which is pretty good for the small city of Nashua! We'd love to field a full corps, but whether 20 or 200, we're committed to making the 2008 season a great one. I'd like to invite former Spartans, anyone checking out other corps, and those simply "on the fence" about marching to come to our rehearsals and play through show music (such a good Mackey show!) on new horns, learn from the "new blood" on staff, and meet new people who say "ya'll." The January Camps in the area don't conflict so check 'em all out and see for yourself what we're about rather than relying on mass emails and phone calls. I'm extremely devoted to do what I can for you and my corps, so email me with any questions, comments, and concerns! Lance Piantaggini Staff Coordinator/Visual Caption Head
