  1. Here's my thought on what a Spirit uniform design could look like. It's heavily inspired by the concept of their uniform in the late 90s that used a jacket opening to create the delta.

As always, I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts. Thanks!

This is how I would do it, same basic idea that he had but with some modifications

  2. This is coming from an old school drum corps guy so this subject hits a bit close to home.

There was a time when you can look at any corps from any distance and in subduded light and in the fog and know who they are. Cadets used the exact uniform that the West Point Cadets used. Devils had the Split Bolero Jacket and tux shirt, Madison had the "Scout" uni. SCV was unique in theirown right! Each corps had their own identity!

All the uniforms now are all carbon copies of each other in one form or another. Change of color here, a plum there. You look at a silhouette of any given corps and I bet you can't tell who they are. Is it Phantom or is it Bluecoats. Is it Crossmen or Madison. Cadets, Boston, and BK essentially all ware the same uni in different configurations!

Thats what happenes when an entire circuit relies on the same manufacture to produce everyone's identity! FJM!! Not a bad choice but they change very little from one corps to the next. At most you recognize a color of a uni or the specific pattern which was used onthe front to determine one corps from the next!

Don't get me wrong! They give a very good body line, They are sharpe but, they are all the same no matter how many configurations you put them in.

To answer the original point of the thread. I think they are all hidious! Bring back a happy medium of the past in their look and I would be stunned! What there is now just doesn't do for me anymore!

FJM is not the only uniform company out there, you forget Stanbury

  3. You sure are representing your organization well, way to go.

By the way, I'm sure I could find plenty of ticks at the Bluecoats camp this time of year too  You're not a world champion yet

You can't judge a large organization on one member's opinions or observations and yes I realize it is an April camp. When I go through ours I see people mess up. You don't need to be so biased with your opinion

  4. someone said Bonnie Ott before... BD soloist...younger sister of Jim Ott... very pretty and talented...

She would qualify as one of drum corps hottest
