Sometimes it's the little things that can make a world of difference...
As everybody knows, it is about time for the 2006 season of the summer music games to kick off. With skyrocketing fuel prices, keep in mind that your favorite drum corps will be traveling over 15,000 miles this summer to come to a city near you. Now, multiply that by 8 (4 busses, 2 tractor-trailers, a lead vehicle, a souvie mobile) that is at least 120,000 miles for ONE corps. b**bs At almost $3.00 a gallon with an average of 8-10 miles per gallon, you're talking a whole lot of money for the corps to have to shell out...
Here is my challenge to you, the drum corps planet community, skip two days at Starbucks and take that $10.00 and write a check to your favorite drum corps and drop it in the mail. Cook dinner tonight instead of going out and write a couple of checks... The little things add up quickly.
Drum Corps International touches a lot of lives. How many of yours have been changed because of the activity? Help keep it alive and running this summer.
I mailed mine today, will you?
