Partial judging panel for tonite's opener in Indy. The lineup :
GE Visual : M. Czapinski
Music Ana.: A. Cook
GE Music : J. Harper
Music Perc. : J. Webb
Visual Anal : M. Kelly
I predict the Cavies will win GE visual.
And who would wanna be the Visual Anal judge? Did he draw the short straw?

George Hopkins will hold a 3 hour Hop-talk after the show if either the Cavaliers or Phantom beat the Cadets.

Thanks to DCI and Crown for this Father's Day treat! They should do this every year with a different corps.
Initial impressions on OOTW and the webcast:
-Kevin Smith and Jim Coates are class acts.
-The interaction between the drum majors from Crown and BD showed a great deal of mutual respect.
-Dan Potter has the best job in the world.
-Video will never do this show justice.
-I have no business telling Michael Klesch what to do but I would love to hear more Lost and a little less of the percussion feature.
-A couple of snare drummers looked to be in danger of being blinded by oversized shakos sliding down over ther eyes.
-Did I miss the Crown formation?

Interesting that the Blue Stars are using a Phantom drone.

Crown could do much worse than having you for a solid supporter, so if funked up uniforms, flute samples, and narration/voice paired with tasty horn licks is what you want from drum corps, start a 2014 Crown thread and woop it up!
Way to go Tru, using a PR thread to bash Crown. Shouldn't you be on a BD topic gushing about the the intricacies of follow the leader drill?

The 2007 DVD hasn't got a lot of viewings by me. Wasn't really sold on the top 2 shows but there are some good shows down in the placements. The Bluecoats had the highest 7th place score ever with the very entertaining Criminal, Crown won the fans over with Triple Crown and Phantom was my personal favorite with the underrated On Air.
Maybe its time to pop that DVD in again.

Is it just me or did that applause at the end of BD' s show seem a little forced?
-
C'mon people,BD won by ONLY .15 last night. That is far from an unbeatable margin.

To overcome the one point deficit in percussion, Crown must win GE (which they did last night by .30) and Visual (which they lost last night by .25) by a combined .55, while maintaining their lead in brass and music analysis.
With Debbie Torchia judging color guard tonight (a sure win for BD), Crown's bet bet for winning Visual will be Saturday night with a slate of Michael Turner (visual prof.) Michael Lentz (visual analysis) and Lee Carlson (color guard.)

Westbury, Long Island.

Nice jump by the Bluecoats! 1.6 point increase from last night.
