Isn't this a "Historical" topic?

Who won guard? Nola Jones was judging........

I figured that's what I'd hear. I am leaning toward the DCI judges last meeting where the discuss where they want it corps scores to be on a given night barring any unforseen events! Just My Opinion.
I hope you're just kidding and not that paranoid.

If I supported this proposal (which I don't,) I'd lobby the directors directly instead of a petition. They are the ones that vote thumbs up or down on anything in DCI.
-
I asked one of the judges at the Murph. contest during the break. He told me that they are not even supposed to look at the corps until the announcer says "Ladies and Gentlemen, DCI is proud to present........." :sshh:

Why yell in the first place? It's a drum corps show, not Jerry Springer.

Cavaliers beat SCV in Normal, IL

I'm thinking Bluecoats at this point, however, lets wait and see what happens when the judges get back down on the field, which I believe happens this week, before anyone starts sizing their corps for championship rings.

Sorry, don't think they made finals in '78.
or '73

Completed guard work. Completed uniforms. Almost all the flags are being used now.
I wonder why they didn't do their complete guard show in Lisle. Many spots in the ending were not complete yet.

I believe Brandt got in last year

There have been a lot of comments made about the fact that Steve, Kuhn and Jeff started their ascent into drum corps at this time. Absolutely true but it all couldn't happen with the total support (i.e. $$) from The Village of Rosemont. No money, no staff. No staff, no shows like Planets. No shows like Planets, no kids. No kids, no Cavaliers. It's pretty simple actually.
Didn't BRUBAKER start writing the show in those days?

The first WGI Champion was Quasar from Mass.

....hmmmm, I was told it was going to cost an additional $1500 on top of the dues to make the trip to Europe. Guess I'll be staying home this summer :(

Or maybe he just views the glass as half-full rather than half-empty.

I'll go as a "Spin-Cyclist" without the support!

Nisei (69 or 70)
The year is about right. The pic came from a Dec 1970 issue of DCD. I have know idea who the corps is are you sure it's Nesei? I was hoping someone could ID this photo.
Yeah, its Nisei. my dad marched there and he has a similar picture. The uni's are cream and purple with the inside color on the sash being gold. Flags are purple and white. Nisei was out of Chicago's north side.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America and I could ask a simple question. I wasn't aware you owned the board.
