If Bluecoats ever do a classic rock show I'd love to hear them open with Led Zeppelin's "Ten Years Gone". It would hit a lot like Creep did.

Other than '97 for the reasons I mentioned above, my other favorite was probably 2008.
Getting to see Phantom gut out a win with an amazing performance, watching them bring out Will Pitts' corpse for retreat, being part of the crowd as we erupted at the announcement of second place and then first...
We were also treated to cavies doing a terrific samurai themed show, Crown with their incredible show Finis (still probably my favorite Crown show) and of course Bluecoats doing The Boxer.
it was a magical weekend.

My favorite was 1997. That's the one where I met the woman who would become my wife. She marched Crossmen that summer, and we met sitting next to one another on the flight home.

lol I was thinking the same thing! The OP wants a vintage t-shirt from the early 2020's!
Like you, I also have a Star of Indiana tee shirt I recently found in a drawer. It doesn't quite fit me any more. 😎
This one's been hanging in my closet for over 30 years. I'd love to wear it to Finals, but it would take more than just a New Year's resolution to fit in it...

Since Crown had great success with an Arthurian show this year, perhaps Bluecoats will consider doing something Napoleanic. A real change of course. They could do the Eroica Symphony and of course 1812 Overture, maybe throw in some French peasant songs. Napoleon crowning himself Emperor
Just heard back from their design team. They loved the idea but decided to take to take it in a slightly different direction...
I kid. I kid. Love you Bloo. Keep being you.

I've said it before, I love Bloo for all the same reasons I love Zappa. They are original. They take things in an unexpected direction. They are both cerebral and insanely talented. They play with rhythms and styles no one else would think of. They do what they want without worrying who will like it, but they do it so well you can't help but go for the ride.

Is Rondo hinting at something with that "thousandths" comment? 🤔

I can just see the conversation between Ishmael and Boston's Corps Director.
"If I have to carry that whale off the field one more time, it's gonna KILL me"
"OKAY!!!"
Actually it took them until the end of the season to get to the last chapter of the book.
"Corps meeting! We just read the ending and I have some news..."

I think Bloo was slightly cleaber yesterday, but they played with better emotion and enthusiasm tonight. Such a great show.

Nobody plays with creating a soundscape better than Bloo. No one.

From a Flo watcher perspective I think Boston topped Crown tonight

Weird compliment, but that tambourine playing is TIGHT.
I couldn't decide if that deserved a laughing emoji or a trophy emoji

That harmonica gets me misty-eyed as much today as it did the first show of the year. What a moment.

Dumb question... what's with all the man-scara. Is that a drum corps thing for effect, or are all the kids wearing it these days?
