  1. i live in houston, northwest houston to be exact. i have my finals ticket paid for (plus a quarter/semis deal) and i have my hotel paid for and i have a little bit of spedning money to eat and such all i need now... is a ride up to Denver from Houston i was going to drive up there with my friend, but she decided that she doesn't want to go...and my parents would never let me go by myself. so... yeah...
  2. hm..what a sad story..what EXACTLY happened, and why would just one "mis-hap" ruin a whole corps? everyone makes mistakes.
  3. ya...there's a guy marching sorpano in Blue Devils, he's from England from what i recall, Steve Blakely? great chap :-D
  4. well.. i hope to tryout for Bluecoats, if possible. OO about glassmen, the new caption head is Tim Newburn, he's awesome, writes the coolest guardwork, he wrote for my winterguard last year, he's a really cool guy too. so, good luck to you. and tinkerbell, you marched BD i'm assumin? that's incredible, i would absolutely LOVE to join their guard, they're my favorite!! this last summer at Wichita, KS show, i just stood out in front of your guys warm up block.......and watched, it was awesome! haha :-p, you ought to just march this summer.. maybe you can be guard captain next summer? who knows...
  5. well... personally as a guard "student" myself, i found out that.... my freshman year i was really quite horrible, poor technique, couldn't dance at all...yet, i still had the personality to work hard sophomore year, i developed on my personality.. got much better technique, but still couldn't tdance then my junior year, i am top of the guard, good leader, all that stuff.. strong personality... a good personality for the hard work guard does..and my schools on rifle and flag are really quite good. but i suggest, what my guard instructor did to our guard... teach all the girls rifles in basics week.... b/c lots of them will love it..and work on it..to be on the rifle line *the appropriate response of course*
