  1. Oh HECK yes. Absolutely. (I thought you had seen the latest video with the trombone in it...)
  2. Sure, we let one in this week. He's gotta upgrade soon though...
  3. Important: If your band, drum corps or ensemble is planning on playing the Keep Austin Loud charity show on May 16th, we need to hear from you right away (the March 15th deadline is now void). The card is full, but I'm willing to extend the gig/move some performances around to make sure our drum corps friends can actually get in and play. We will finalize the program this weekend, so Sunday at 5pm central is the new deadline. I would like to thank the people and musicians of Austin for making this show into something far bigger than we ever expected. Drum corps, don't miss out on this chance for mainstream exposure to the press, the sponsors and the community at large - not to mention the opportunity to contribute your time to a lifesaving cause. Visit us on the web at http://www.keepaustinloud.net and thank you for your support! Mike Reynolds

  5. What is it you want? You want these domain names, especially if you marched Dream: paradessuck.com bandsucks.com bandsux.com minicorps.net They're all up for grabs on Ebay. Go get 'em and let the world know how you really feel.
  6. Prior to Thursday's debate in Austin, presidential hopeful Barack Obama courts fans of World Gone Mad with a double "Fist of Rock".
  7. Eric, you guys get the full WGM treatment: Gatorade, Hopkins Chime (woodwinds as percussion/tinder), AND human sacrifice. Always human sacrifice. Your pal, Mike
  8. We'll ALWAYS have a spot for you. Bring it!!! Your pal, Mike
  9. Wow. That was awesome. We got rained out of one parade and stood in the water and wind for two hours simply to collect a check, the proceeds of which went directly to bail/legal defense. We destroyed a major part of the RV we were traveling in (note the photo of the "Bumper of Rock" in the WGM photo gallery). And we discovered that walking in a parade takes exactly as much effort as marching. So now we don't walk anymore either. It was the most fun we've had yet, and that's coming from the gang that plays demolition derbies and biker rallies. SUPER MAD PROPS to Eric Sabach for hooking us up with the gigs. Thanks to the income, none of our members had pay to make the trip. Austin to N'awlins and back for $0. Ahh, priceless. Here's the WGM Fist of Rock invading The Big Easy, and most of what was left of us after the (eleven mile and 36 degree wind chill) second parade. What? Another check AND a trophy? We must have rocked them like a, uh, um... hurricane.
  10. I got ten seats left on the bus for brass or percussion players that want to be in World Gone Mad for a weekend at Mardi Gras. Here's the deal: The tour bus leaves Austin in the tiny, wee hours of Friday, January 25th. We play in a parade that night and collapse from sheer exhaustion in our most righteous hotel. Then we play in a daytime parade on Saturday, leaving Saturday night free to destroy whatever is left of our brain cells/good judgement, followed by another collapse in our most righteous hotel and the trip home on Sunday. The bus will pick-up and drop-off Houston people around Houston. Somewhere. For those about to rock, you must: Be over 18 years of age. Attend rehearsal in Austin on Saturday, January 5th and Saturday, January 12th. Be prepared to walk (Walk, not march. We don't march.) two five mile parades. Be able to focus during our short rehearsal time and memorize approximately 5 minutes of music between January 5th and 12th. Pay $195 by December 30th to cover your bus and hotel costs. Be able to have a good time Again, we've only got ten open spots. Contact me ASAP for registration info. Mike
  11. These are from the Lockhart, TX parade last Saturday. 5,000 lights, an 8' gingerbread man with Ace Frehley face-frosting and his peppermint Guitar Hero controller. Yeah, Christmas rocks. Wanna be in World Gone Mad for Mardi Gras in N'awlins? We got room for ten more on the bus. Send an e-mail to keepaustinloud@mac.com for info.
  12. Come out and watch World Gone Mad keep Lockhart, TX merry with our 8' Ace Frehley gingerbread man and over 5,000 lights on the trailer. Christmas miracle, or a crispy death by electrocution? Either way it's gonna rock. Be there.
  13. One more thing... If you want to help "Keep Austin Merry" with us, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for our Noise for Toys drive. We'll distribute them during our Christmas tour to Austin's children's homes. Thanks, Mike
