I don't think a WC corps has ever moved down to OC for *any* reason, competitive or backroom.  From my fuzzy memory back in the early 2000s, DCI was <deliberately> vague in adding a mechanism to demote a top-division corps when they created the WC/OC split.

Can’t remember the year, but wasn’t Magic of Orlando “forced” to compete in Div II when the became active again? It was obvious competitive wise they should have been in Div I. They ended up winning Div II and even made finals in Div I.

Go back to the old formula like prior to 2017. I loved those shows.

IMHO I don’t think they can. Keith Potter who I feel was the top main driving force behind show theme, story boarding etc. decisions prior to 2017 is no longer there. He’s at Boston now of course  and I think it’s quite obvious that the high energy, fan friendly type of show Crown was known for, Boston is doing now. And quite well I might add. IMHO

Also, Check our the lyrics to "My Body is a Cage"

My body is a cage that keeps me
From dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key
My body is a cage that keeps me
From dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key
    I'm standing on a stage
    Of fear and self-doubt
    It's a hollow play
    But they'll clap anyway
My body is a cage that keeps me
From dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key
    You're standing next to me
    My mind holds the key
    I'm living in an age
    That calls darkness light
    Though my language is dead
Still the shapes fill my head
    I'm living in an age
    Whose name I don't know
Though the fear keeps me moving
Still my heart beats so slow
My body is a cage that keeps me
From dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key
    You're standing next to me
    My mind holds the key
    My body is a,
    My body is a cage
    We take what we're given
    Just because you've forgotten
    That don't mean you're forgiven
    I'm living in an age
That screams my name at night
But when I get to the doorway
    There's no one in sight
    I'm living in an age
That laughs when I'm dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key
    You're standing next to me
    My mind holds the key
    Set my spirit free
    Set my spirit free
    Set my body free
    Set my body free
    Set my spirit free
    Set my body free

Thank you for actually talking about staff changes in a post that should have been titled "Rumors & discussion of 3 different corps'. Oh...and Boston doesn't rehearse in Boston - all their camps are in Tampa, FL.  This would mean comparing them to a sports team, would require use of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead of the Boston Red Sox....er....um...oh dear.  :sarcasm:

    Love you guys!!

Boston's camps are actually held in Bradenton,FL at Lakewood Ranch HS. Tampa is actually about an hour north of here.

2006 doesn't count for men in the color guard!!!

If you're referring to Madison I wasn't talking about that or what I was alluding to. Phantom has  had men in the guard before ( 2005-2010 ) but now their policy now is a strictly an all female guard. So the question still stands, since you don't have any respect for Madison or the Cavaliers for their gender "policy", what about Phantom?

I am pretty sure he is not a troll. I believe he marched Bluecoats and is upset with the fact Cavilers show beat the Bluecoats show. I 100% agree with him. I have never respected Cavilers or Madison Scouts for the simple fact that I think it is crap they do not allow women to march. I do not think they will ever win another championship until they change their mindset on allowing women to march. Women have just as much talent if not more than men.

Also their show was 100% a **** you to women this year. I found totally disgraceful and trashy. It is already bad enough you don't allow woman to march but now you are going to have a show about men.

I know you guys will bash this and tell me I am stupid but my opinion is my opinion.

Just curious do you not have any respect for Phantom Regiment as well since they do not allow men in their colorguard?

I have searched all over DCP, DCI Intl. as well as Boston's website and can't determine who's voice (or voices) are used in and throughout their 2017 show.  Anyone know?  Particularly interested in the male voice that utters: "You are hearby charged..." etc, etc, etc

Somewhere - I thought I heard some was from the B-Way play "Wicked", maybe I'm just imaginably assuming that's where some of it is taken from.

    Anyone?

Don't hold my feet to the fire on this  but I asked about this and was told it was folks from Leander HS's(Texas)theater department. The connection is Boston's sound team are also Leander's sound team. They've been doing an incredible job at Leander for years !!
