IL 60020 Saturday 10AM - 9PM Sunday 10AM - 2PM The M.O.B. will be working on Basin Street, Cotton Town, Rockabye and the Count Basie chart Splanky as we gear up for our first performance in South Milwaukee on April 29th. 2. Yes, this is a co-ed corps, we have women in all sections. The corps name came from the original McHenry Men of Brass which was an all male senior corps back in the 60's that was formed after a merger between the Skokie Indians and McHenry Red Devils.
  3. The former director may be gone, but to say that the current RA is "better than ever"?
  4. The Men of Brass is sponsored by the Amvets Post #66 in Wheeling IL which is our regular practice facility. The March camp in West Allis, WI is for recruitment of potential members plus the Tommy Thompson Youth Center at the WI State Park is a perfect venue for full corps and sectional rehearsals. Like the Royal-Airs, the Men of Brass will be an exhibition full field all-age corps performing old school drum corps.
  5. Yep, we have members who marched with the Chicago Connection, Des Plaines Vanguard Jr & Sr, Norwood, Royal-Airs, Cavaliers, Kilties, Scouts, Boys of 76 and even the original McHenry Men of Brass.
  6. All are welcome to stop by and check out Chicago's newest all-age corps, the Men of Brass. Next camp will be the weekend of March 10th & 11th starting at 10AM. Wisconsin State Fair Park (Tommy Thompson Youth Center). 8100 West Greenfield Ave. West Allis, WI 53214. This is a full field exhibition corps that will be performing an exciting program of jazz, dixieland and big band selections in the style of Col. Truman Crawford arranged by Kenny Norman.
