Excuse me? Attitude problem? How one speaks on the internet does not reflect how they act in person. I sense someone who likes to blindly insult someone if they happen to get a negative impression of a corps or the experience even before they get their results..

I'm definitely not discouraged, though. I love drum corps too much to give up on it just because of that. Before I decided on Music City, I was wanting to go for Memphis Sound. However, the price is just too high... There were about 2-3 people in college trying out for battery; the rest were HS seniors. About 4 trying for tenors, 6-7 for snare, 3 for bass, including me.

I was cut. They didn't even tell me why or offer any advice. To be honest, I did not enjoy that camp at all. I went there expecting it to be an educational experience and it was anything but that and I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. Snares sounded like they were going to the movies too with all the popcorn I heard on basic 8's...

I'm auditioning there for bass drum this Saturday. Excited!!

The next camp is November 30 - December 2.

I would love to march 16... -sob- Our HS bassline: 20, 22, 24, 28, 30 I've only marched 20 & 24, so when I once tried on the 30... oh my jeeze. I feel so sorry for our 5th bass guy. ("Oh gosh, it hits the ground even sooner!")

I'm trying out for Memphis Sound for a bass spot... I know it'll be hard, but the practice would do me so much good. This will be my first time ever going to a camp of any drum corps. x_x Uhm, sorry for the irrelevancy. Just freaking out.
