Given the theme and Galaxy Quest selections, I dare say the look is intentional.

Those of you with guard experience will have to help me here..... Adam Sage is listed as the Artistic Director for Troop.  Is this his style, and given the lack of contrast in the guard costume, would that not make the guard harder to stage visually?  I dunno, just thinking/typing out loud on a Sunday morning.

And that’s what a lot of people are upset about, isn’t it?

Yeah, that's the way it is with a word like could.  They apparently have chosen not to.

In 2016 the Troopers wore an androgynous cowboy stripper costume.  They could have opted otherwise.  They chose not to.  Probably a bad analogy, but maybe you get the drift.... or not.  I could have made a better one.  I chose not to.

I get the feeling that last post will be misinterpreted, so allow me to clarify:

if you were going to do a show about Hanukkah, you could include a Jewish composer. If you did a show about the history of slave music, you could use a slave song. If you did a show about pirates, you could include a sea shanty. If you do a show about a specific theme, it makes sense to use music created for and by that theme. If your theme is women, wouldn’t it make sense to use music written by women?

One could.  They chose not to.

First person to post a camp report stating the fact that they don't think their favorite corps is in for a better year than last I'll buy you a cold 12-pack. You know there are some corps out there in that boat and you know people are thinking it. 🙂

I don't have camp reports or any other "inside info", but I do like frosty cold adult beverages.  Having typed that...

Could care less. Couldn’t care less. Guess it doesn’t matter.

One of my pet peeves too.  It does matter in the caring continuum.

If one cares to any degree at all, it is possible to care less.  Those who care a great deal, could care less.

But, if one "couldn't care less" one will always be at zero in the continuum as it is impossible to care less.

  6. In another thread it was pointed out that GH was/is and most likely will always be a manipulator and that manipulator's rarely benefit from intervention.  In this case the intervention evidently takes it's form in finding the deity of his choice.  As a result of your beliefs, you believe in change and forgiveness.  However, I believe that it also means that you don't recognize that you too are being manipulated. With every new post you show this..... at least to me you do.  I can't speak for the others.

He was not in a relationship with Kristy at the time. They were on a break. This is a fact. I don’t know what social media says. I’m sorry you were not informed of his relationship status. I’m certain he was unaware that he needed to keep you in the loop.

And you know this to be a fact because he told you or she told you?

Indeed it is. It used to be that HR would also train managers on how to coach and develop staff...but no longer. My company is going through a huge change management process right now. For their entire existence, they've promoted from within but never trained their managers on how to actually manage PEOPLE...only the business. That's one of the reasons that I was brought in was to develop the model for them to use. I was shocked when I found out that the vast majority of our folks who had people reporting to them had ZERO experience in managing anything but numbers. Manage the behaviors and the numbers will come in line.

This addition by the Cadets seems to be an absolute dream fit.

It's because you manage "things" and lead people.  Many who are taught to manage those "things" are never taught how to lead the people required to manage the "things".

  9. The need to stream consciousness on the internet, is most likely one of two things.  He truly believes that this will either be dismissed at the next level or that he will prevail at trial; or he knows "deep down in places you don't talk about at parties" ($1 to Colonel Jessup) that this is his last chance to leverage social media to get his version out there because, in the future, his contact will be through monitored phone conversations with those approved on his calling list.

    In either case, WWJD George?

  10. GH is a manipulator.  Manipulator's rarely benefit from intervention or therapy (in this case, finding solace in the deity of his choice).  Instead, they continue to hone that anti-social skill by manipulating the "therapist".

The old adage of there are no atheists in foxholes come to mind as well as the large amount of inmates who turn to religion (in whatever form) when the reality sets in.  They then get released and often fail to stay engaged in their new found ways.  I suppose that the test will come a few years down the road for GH.

For me, the clue is in the need to once again turn to FB to get the message out there.

"It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pay off for 'em."  ($1 to Jason Bateman - Pepper Brooks)
