so i havent exactly played my mello since feb at a drum corps camp and then i decided i wasnt marching this summer.....and now college band auditions are soon here. (i know, i know.......but ive been busy haha) so if anyone could send me the link to the first 4 sharp and first 4 flat scales for mello....that would be AMAZING. thanksssss

i know it says to pre-order them, which i did, and that they'll be shipped "later this fall" when have you received them in the past?? how late "later this fall" is it? before Thanksgiving? more relative to Christmas? im really anxious to get it just as im sure everyone else is!!!

wow...i dont know about the rest of you. but aside from the bad showers and crickets and such that we hated then but can laugh about now....i really miss tour.

sorry...i guess what i say makes sense in my head. not my words. clarification....competition for members as people being on the fence as to where to go. not numbers wise.

i meant competition for members and before this year there was alot of competition number wise as well

Crown and Glassmen on mello! Possibly the SCV brass day in Texas depending on how the other 2 weekends go

ugh we had bad cricket issues in texas too.....

there seems to be alot of competition between these two corps in NJ....which are you going to choose and why?

On this years tour where was your worst housing site? Or best for that matter(make everyone jealous haha). For example...we were staying at a school in CA during finals week...i was sitting with the support staff due to an injury to my arm and someone pointed to a cat running down an ally between two school buildings. They thought it was a cat....until the male truck drivers laughed and said sorry girls...thats a rat. yeah it was gross....

I think you may have the wrong idea of me and what im saying....ive never done the whole "well in drum corps we did it this way..." thing....all im saying is that i came home from a summer of crazy memories that make me so happy and i so when something happens and i tell a friend a funny story just as they would about a vacation they took or something they dont want to hear it.... i think the problem is that people dont understand drum corps. they think marching band is the most intense anything of the sort can be...and i understand that because i used to feel the same until i marched corps. i just wish they would be open minded.

:( i came home from tour this summer and had high school band camp the next day for 2 weeks. i absolutly love drum corps so of course thats all that was really on my mind. i missed it like crazy and still certainly do but....no one else in my school has ever marched dci. they "know" what it is but dont really get it and think that marching band is basically the hardest anything of the sort can get and such. i dont talk about it like i wish i could...but sometimes something in marching band will make me think of something funny that happened on tour and ill tell someone about it...but they always make comments with an attitude like im bragging or its not like what everyone says it to be....my closest friends even are rude about it. when i say something about how hot it was somewhere or how long we practice or just that we dont get 15 minute breaks just go get a drink of water....they just look at me like "yeah right". its depressing....drum corps is a huge passion in my life and its really starting to make me grow apart from some good friends of mine. anyone else share my pain? :(
