  1. Yeah because 11 days pretty much means not touring. Guess what every corps takes breaks for making some changes!! And if you think that they "basically" stopped practicing then you have serious problems! Touring does not mean shows every day or every other day, but as long as you are working on the road.

Not doing a full tour? Looks like they're doing DCI West, DCI Southwest, DCI Southeast, and DCI East! More shows than last year, but I'm guessing you didn't even care to look at how many shows they are performing at more this year than last.

By the way, BK took 8 days off! Cavies took 5 days off! Same with Madison! Mandarins took 7 days off! PC also took 7 days off! Pioneer took 7 days off! Not 11 days but that's still a long time with no shows! They basically took a week off of touring.

And no Troopers and PC are not just better, look at the recaps! Academy's brass and percussion are doing well given the difficult of their books, if it were easier they'd have an even higher score. It's their design.

I believe the difference was that the Academy took 2 weeks to do a stage production and not work at the show. Yes corps take days off, but to work on the show, not do something completely different. I personally think it's why the Academy isn't scoring as well. It's not neccessarily a bad thing, just i believe that those 2 weeks hurt them in the long run..and it makes perfect sense for it to be that way.

  2. i think all hell would break loose seeing as how the BD show would have ALOT of talking...not just yowhza...

and phantom...it would be funny to see them not play that much and do alot of visuals that they don't normally do.

But hey SCV might be clean for once. (don't get me wrong i love SCV, but dirt in the drill is just what i expect from them because i've never really seen otherwise)

  3. I know I'll probably get flammed for this one.

My daughter is with The Academy, and their show is still seems incomplete, unfortunatly. I think they have something up their sleeve for San Antonio that will give them them that 3 or 4 point boost they've been needing. So if I had to pick,

    Yes, Im talking upset mode!!

I'm not 'flaming' you, however i will say they need to pull something rather large out of those sleeves if they want a 4 point boost overnight, while they might have something that will help, i seriously doubt we'll see that much of a raise from them. Best of luck to them though!

And while i'm thinking about, it is a crossmen home show, it might factor in....just saying

  4. my biggest mistake when learning double tonguing was that sub conciously backed off on my air (actually i think it was more of retaining it in the back of my throat.

That was why i could say it, buzz it, but not put it on the horn. Once i focused on that, it all came together. =)
