  1. I'm actually surprised that more Corps don't look for relationships with churches these days. I'm sure there are lots of churches that would support a corps and some that probably even have the land to have them practice on the grounds. Did something happen back in the day that caused churches to drop their support or was it the corps decision?
  2. Wow, I really admire Pioneer's philosophy and commitment to going to church. Was Pioneer founded by a church?
  3. I think that depends on the corps and what time they begin practice on Sunday morning. My church usually runs from 10:30-noon until late June when it goes to 9:30am-11ish.
  4. Hi everyone, I'm new here and am interested in marching. I've been a drum corps fan for a while and have played the trumpet for 21+ years. The problem is that I'm also very involved in church which has prevented me from marching in the past. I'm wondering if anyone else out there marches and is also really involved in a church (or other religious organization). If so, how do you manage the two? Do you have to chose one over the other to be able to do both?
