What are some of your favorite underrated shows? By underrated, I mean either shows that you liked that most other people didn't enjoy or shows that did relatively poorly with the judges based on a corps usual placement.
I'm not entirely sure this one qualifies by my own definitions, but I really love SCV's 2010 Bartok show. I was a relatively new fan at the time, but it seems like most people here on this board were not that enamored with it at the time. It was also one of the worst received shows by the judges in SCV's history. There could be other reasons why it scored poorly, but I think the show design is one of my favorites of all time. Kind of shocked, actually, that no one else has (had) used Concerto for Orchestra. The opening of the fifth movement seems perfect for drum corps.
I LOVED Bartok. One of my all time favs. Also 1990 Star of Indiana and 1997 Cadets rank high on my list.

Yea... I thought that was a bit odd.
Don't they all each skip one TOC show and get subbed out by a non-TOC corps?
-
From a friend at the show...Lightning in the area, Madison was pulled off the field just before they started.

Radar not lookin so good for this show. Denton looks like it will be ok.

I watched the narrator through binoculars at the Dekalb show, and he sure seemed to be speaking for real. But only God and GH know for sure.
Isn't God and GH one in the same? ;)

The Blue Stars had those blueprint designs last night at La Crosse.
Surprised at the Blue Devils comment. I like this show more than anything they've done since 2008. When they hit that block and go down on their knees, it's just electric.
He likes the show this year but thought tonight was a bit flat from previous reads.

"Blue Stars have added blue tarps and panels that look like the blue print of a house. Makes more sense." "Blue Devils good but didn't wow me tonight like they have been"....this from a friend at the show. That is all.

They are great. Could have won tonight with ZO
Avon could have won tonight with iconoclash
Only if Jay Webb was judging
-
So why are Devils not here tonight?

Thanks for the play by play Kevin! Felt like I was right there with you!

Hated Cadets when they had live broadcast a while back but tonight blew me away! Fantastic! I think that might be close to the top come August. I really enjoyed PR also (even though I HATE Swan Lake), don't see that show doing too much. Holding my opinion on Cavies until I get a few more reads. Troopers looked like Troopers. Bring on CC!

Crown won percussion????
:blink:/>
No percussion judge. Music analysis score was duplicated.

No percussion judge tonight.

So those really were the scores

I'm guessing that whomever is keying in the tabulators numbers into the recap is/was accidentally publishing online real time and someone with DCI finally caught on and pulled it down. If I had to put money on it, I would say that those scores were correct.
